Because I don't care. I couldn't do shit in a political party. I don't have the motivation and therefore it's like chewing over too much.

Most politicians are paragraph riders and I don't really feel comfortable doing that. Politics is 50% semantic bullshit. Glorious speeches and promises. I don't really want to be a part of it, I'm happy just being one of the people.

I'm an independent. I have mostly moderate views. If you combined views from both the democrat and republican parties, that would be me.

I try not to stick with one party, if the person running for conservatives has a better platform than the liberal, ndp or green, then I'll vote for them and vice-versa.

To me its kind of stupid to complain about politicians, the laws they make and so on but on the other hand not wanting to be a part of it and actually do something on your own. And when i say "do something" i dont necessarily mean to join a party but at least inform yourself about the parties programms, their agendas and vote!

Having no clue about the basic things in politic in your country and complaining about everything is beyond retarded.

i'm a registered democrat but i do not agree with the way the party is at the current moment and i do not like the people who are representing the party and the groups like moveon.org and george soros who claim they own the democrats(which is pretty much true if you actually pay attention to current events)

Not really. I know what's going on in Dutch politics and I usually vote, but I'm not a member of a political party, nor will I ever become that. There's not a single party whose ideas I fully support, so it's like I'd be selling out my principles over practicality.

It's not like I can stomach most of the backstabbing in modern politics anyway.

i think that's what most of them hopes. the fact that the lying and bs soon becomes habitual is why politicians never change. you can't go that route and NOT start lying a little for your own good when you're lying for everyone else, and once you cross that point, once that box is open...

it was not by choice. i am registered in kentucky. in kentucky you have only two choices to which parties you can be apart of. dems and repubs. the only way you can register as a republican is if you write down on your card republican. if you leave your card blank, or as i did, write down independent, you automatically become a democrat. i was encouraged by the lady behind the desk to leave it blank or write democrat but at the time i did not understand why. later on i would come to find out what i just explained. democrats in my state often like to go public and say how they have so many new people registered as democrats but i have a feeling most of those people were encouraged as i was to leave it blank or they wrote down something else on the card like i did not knowing they would become democrats.

what i dont like about the current party? well, turn on any news station and look who is representing them every night. hillary clinton (don't even get my started on this corrupt piece of work), harry reid, nancy peloci, howard dean, and when george soros and his moveon.org group say they "own" the democrat party and then you see the party always doing what that group wants or pandering to their needs, repeating shit that group says, you kind of have to really wonder about the current state of the democrat party. there are very few things the democrat party stands for that i agree with and i mean the current democrat party. i don't agree with the party on gun control, universal health care, higher taxes, and in general i cannot stand their hypocrisy

all i really know about domestic us politics at the moment is that guiliani was supposed to run for president some time or something and was basically being "groomed". i read a longer article on a flight a couple of weeks ago. now he seems like a piece of work, but he was presented through the eyes of a journalist so who knows.

i don't really feel like getting into why i don't care that much for norwegian politics because no one here would know what i was talking about anyway. there's just too much distress and i see no light at the end of the tunnel.

Btw.: I think its hilarious when people who debate about the german welfare system usually refer to the scandinavian countries. Comparing a country with 5-9 million inhabitants to another country with more than 80 million...yeah.

I'm a registered Democrat because I identify myself as a liberal and that's the best option I got (considering American liberla isn't really liberal). If we had a strong Social Democratic party, I'd probably be with it.

As far as being involved, I vote, and I try to stay up on current events and politics, but it's when I need to focus on school. I can also see myself running for some public office sometime in the future.

And when I do, I'm forcing Puff to have health insurance, taking his automatics away, a taxing him up the ass.
