So you're saying in order to listen to Tupac's music people should go out and get "advanced degrees" or be well off?

I find it a travesty to Tupac's legacy that someone with that outlook is somehow in charge of Tupac's music. Tupac didnt have an advanced degree. Tupac came from a broke background. Tupac had respect for people that weren't well off financially. And Tupac HATED bootleggers. You seem to hold NONE of the qualities that made Tupac great or who he is and everything you say goes against what he believed and stood for.
hi there. you missed the entire point.

the issue at hand is that we ALL worked very hard to raise substantial sums that in turn were given to the producers of the songs. they gave us the songs. welcome to the real world. money talks.

is every single person entitled to every 2pac song made? just because one person has it, does it mean you deserve it? probably not. the real world spins because of money. i for one do not have the inclination to spend massive amounts just to piss it away for a second of net fame.

2pac advocated for the poor and underrecognized. professionally, i do the very same. analogizing someone who can afford high speed internet to leech a new 2pac song to someone who is starving to death is pretty naive of you. apples and oranges, my new to the scene friend.

He's saying that regular customers buy the cheapest Mercedes SL while people with extra money get an AMG upgrade kit for it for the sake of fuck-all. He is saying that the world is free to enjoy the music that Tupac put out in the world, for the world, but if you want more than that, the stuff that Tupac recorded because he still meant what he said but didn't feel it was the impression he wanted to give off, you are going to have to dig a little deeper than the Life forum and Rapidshare.

A free CD or two dont pay the bills Dante, but regardless, that is probably why Rukas always had your back and probably continues to do so even when it wasnt in his best interest. I on the other hand dont know you, and just see you as a greedy bootlegger, perhaps if you had contributed anything while I was around I could see this good person you claim to be, but you didnt and I dont.

I have nothing personal against you, but playing this hurt victim is just silly. You made your money, you sold your copies, songs got leaked by OTHER people and OTHER sites and THEN made there way here, yet you somehow blame me and the site for this? It doesnt make sense.
i'm not the victim. let's make that clear. the victims are the dozens of others. i already have a lifetime of pac music to listen to.

i did not blame sh, but the email i woke up to was not in good taste. no props, no knowledge of how the tracks came to be, nothing. i had grown to expect better from this site so it was all a bit of a surprise. oh well, right? you got your clicks.

You're right, the real world does spin because of money, and judging by the amount of customers mad because it leaked, it is fairly obvious that you made your money. Im sure you took everybody's money before you shipped because you knew it may leak, so you are fine. You made your money, and it paid for the sources the music came from.

As for your next project, if you have more material you'll make another one, because you're not financially hurt by the leaks, like I said you got your money. And youve said you already have more, so you dont need to spend more "sourcing" it. So you Dante, unlike your customers, have nothing to lose.

Well like I said, I didnt know who the original song came from, and the others came from Davillion who didnt mention you.

If it would make you feel better, I can send a mass email right now stating that the songs came from you.

you're thinking about it all wrong. this wasn't me selling something. this was a group who pulled resources. in fact, if you want to look at it black and white i'm out well over $5000. i was happy to take a loss for my friends. my real friends.

so now you WANT me to sell a cd? what happened between pages 2 and 3? no. i decline. i am happy to enjoy what i have with the knowledge that people like you won't benefit from my work. you want some new pac? go call up hurt m badd and pay his rent for 2 months.

do you even own all of 2pac's retail albums? i'd like to see a picture if you do.

well actually, they lost money on the recent project. it was all for the fans. i'm willing to bet the accumulated income from all the projects so far maybe reimburse the people to be with about 1/6th of what they have originally paid. That's me being high and silly, I don't know an actual percentage, I just know it's a common misconception that these projects sold a lot. They didn't, and that was part of the point.

Me personally I live in Norway. What am I gonna do? Call Easy Mo Be and be like "Hey, I'm a Tupac fan, what's up?", talk for a while, and then ask for a track. Dante and his projects was my last way out. I'm not in the states. Like Dante said I'm a person like him and can dig pretty deep, but there is more than money in this picture, there is effort, emotional investment and lots and lots of losses.

songs got leaked by OTHER people and OTHER sites and THEN made there way here, yet you somehow blame me and the site for this? It doesnt make sense.
Right now I only speak for myself, but my resignation has nothing to do with the actions committed by you specifically. Whoever Rukas appointed admin would probably do the same. I'll use the analogy again. I'm a jew so if I pray to Allah i go to hell and I don't want that. It's a difference of opinions, not a personal matter of disliking.

He recorded it for himself, then someone got their hands on it that weren't supposed to have it, then Dante got it, then he chose to give it to a few more people.

I'm saying the unreleased music isn't for anyone, but the people who never had a chance to hear it fucked things up for the people who did have a chance to hear it. Why? Because they couldn't hear it. It's called selfishness. You couldn't know better, you're probably not even a Pac head, but if I want to remain a part of the loyal circle of Tupac Collectors, I feel I need to do this.

I would bet it was Kilo himself unless it's someone Caesar knows personally. Either way. This thread isn't really about why or how the songs leaked, it's that they leaked and that made something happen in my brain that drought spirit juice from me. The agreement we all made with Dante when we purchased this is an agreement I feel very bound to because it involved my own personal interest. Even with no more projects coming out, I will defend this to the death.

and just see you as a greedy bootlegger

Caes, have a read of Rizzle's post. They made a loss on this project, and that was never hidden from us at all.

One of the saddest things about the situation, is given the above, they still sent them out to us, and someone still felt the desire to provide Kilo with the songs.

I'd be pissed off if I were them too.

I am a Tupac head, more so than a lot of people, but Im a Tupac head, not a Tupac collector scene head, and theres a big difference.

Pac didnt record those songs for himself, he recorded them for his albums and thus for the world to hear.

Like I said, Im sorry people feel they lost something because they paid money, but you guys got the music too so you didnt lose anything. Just because someone leaks a DVD to a torrent doesnt mean the people that paid for the DVD lost it, they still enjoy it and make it possible in the first place.

So thank you to everyone involved with the project and everyone that bought it.

Dante, Im sending an email right now telling people the leaks came from you, so that should make that side of your problem happy. If you'd like to provide me with a short statement about your project Im more than happy to facilitate the sending of that too.

I just hope that you're on every other forum and site that allowed links to be posted or posted the links themselves doing the exact same thing you are here, because we didnt leak it, and we're not responsible for leaking it. I just hope you're not singling us out to release your obvious and warranted frustration out on.

Four pages of this thread scream with one word: money.

Preach, you are mad because what you paid a lot of money for, people got for free. You want to be the guy who spent lots of money to have songs most people don't.

It's that egotistical feeling you get that you just fucking love, isn't it? "I have the OGs, and you don't, you pathetic impoverished commoners." That's what goes on in your head. I doubt you even play and listen to the OGs you pay hundreds of dollars for, weekly.

All i read was "bitch moan bitch moan i want money i am a whore"

Maybe i read the posts a bit too quick but that was the general message i got from it.

Honestly, get a grip. Pac's my favourite rapper too but i wouldnt go as far as paying producers to get some OG's just so i can make a quick buck on the internet.

If you thought that plan is fool proof then why do oyu think the RIAA is having a hissy fit over internet downloading and song leaking?

Anyway, i suggest you guys learn your lesson and stop trying to make money off music that doesnt even belong to you. Tough break. Next time keep the songs to yourself. Nobody cares anymore.

That's my 2 cents and no worries it's free.
