Since everyone likes to make threads where they upload a selection of tracks they happen to like, followed with a few words that have something to do with the track or artist. I thought I'd go ahead and just do that. Over the years, my taste in hip-hop has been heavily influenced by Chronic as he's been sending me masses of shit. Actually, "influenced" isn't the right word, I just happened to like a lot of the same stuff. Most of this shit is downloaded off of oink or ripped by me and will be in pretty high quality, 192-320kbps.

Hell Razah, Black Market Militia & R.A. The Rugged Man - The Renaissance 2.0
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2914413e2890fa/
i don't know what's up with the "2.0" title, but i think it's a pre-mix or an original version. it sounds way boomier and harder than the normal version which is also on the album. that one sounds a lot more flat and bright. most people probably got the natural selection compilation by nature sounds. in case a couple few people didn't, here's a song off of it. great compilation, i suggest you get it. i can't be fucked finding links to the albums for all the songs i upload, so head over to albumbase for that. i don't really have a relationship to any of these artists except for R.A., but they all come tight.

Kre8tor - You Wanna
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29144578292a6f/
I actually don't know anything about this dude, it's just a random song I have on my computer that I thought was a little cool. Does anyone have more information lol?

Krome Magnus, Supreme, Lyrical Militant - Mama Don't Worry
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29145022ac7ec5/
I always thought this track was hot. Lyrical Militant was a member here, he has the second verse. Not much to say, nothing mind blowing, I thought it was an averagely good track.

Sage Francis - The Masters Are Back (DJ Fatal Remix)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2914527c33bdb0/
I have uploaded this remix before, but it's so dope it deserves it. God I love this remix, the beat is one of the coolest musical beats I've heard. Also, if you haven't heard the original song, Fatal flipped this one around good. The chorus is a sick effort on his behalf.

MC Solaar - Comme Un Oiseau (Instrumental)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2914586769c76a/
I don't actually know for sure that this is the title of the song, but nevertheless. This is Hip-Pop basically, but musically, this beat is pretty sick because basically, no two bars are the same. A little corny, almost like the theme music to a movie, but I thought it was cool to listen to anyway.

Brother Ali - Sleepwalker
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29147273430bfc/
One of my favorite tracks from Brother Ali. In all honesty I don't like THAT many, but he has a few cool ones. I think this one is really dope, especially the beat. Somebody tell my mother that i diiied.

Mr. Lif - Madness In A Cup
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29147388170b3b/
This song is off this album Sleepyheads from 2003. I only recently started to listen to Mr. Lif, but it's down my alley.

Shabbazz The Disciple - Cremate 'Em
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2914801a533832/
Shabbazz The Disciple - Crime Saga
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2914825ff87d88/
Shabbazz The Disciple - The Lamb's Blood
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29148120512194/
Shabbazz is a Wu-Tang affiliated guy. These tracks are from his album "The Hidden Scrolls". Imo a pretty cool album. I was never able to find much information about Shabbazz so if anyone can enlighten me i'd appreciate that. I think his shit is tight anyway.

Foreign Exchange - Happiness
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29148600bead4e/
Foreign Exchange - Raw Life
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2914874e63b9c2/
I purchased the instrumental version for the album "Connected" by mistake, and even when I bought it I didn't have any expectations to this album. It took me by surprise. The Nicolay beats are nice. He has his own sound for sure.

Deltron 3030 - Turbulence (Remix)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/291489552cc1cb/
Del tha Funky Homosapien is Ice Cube's brother or something crazy right that right? Cousin at least. His style is very different and very cool. The whole Deltron 3030 album is cool, but here's one track off of it.

Outkast - Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik (Diamond D Remix)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29149724ae0f20/
Thanks to Chronic for this remix. Nice to listen to when high :)

Mos Def, Talib Kweli - Freestyle
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2915244c7e0123/
Off of Rawkus presents Soundbombing vol. 1. Starts with Mos improvising on the keyboard and Talib introducing, then after a while a smooth beat kicks in. I love this beat.

Snowgoonz, Sean Price, Jus Allah & Doujah Raze - Gunz
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2915129f7a6206/
Snowgoonz is a German production team. They put out an album called "German Lugers" and this is one of the tracks off of it. Some pretty cool beats.

Smiff-N-Wessun - The Truth
http://www.zshare.net/audio/291517064cfe13/
Smiff-N-Wessun - We Came Up (Crystal Stairs)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/291523632cafe2/
This is a track off of Tek and Steele's 2005 album "Reloaded". There's a few tight tracks on that album. I always liked Tek and Steele since I heard them with Tupac. Funny thing is they weren't even THAT good on the One Nation tracks.

SA Smash, Vast Aire - Slide On 'Em (Escapade)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2915230e8c4a72/
Don't know shit about SA Smash, but Vast Aire is a member of Cannibal Ox. This isn't trip hop shit though really. It's from an album called "Smashy Smashy". I thought the whole album was fairly cool.

Crime Boss - Death Notes
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29153333492ff2/
I don't know what the deal is with this dude. When you play this track you're gonna think 90s gangsta rap. Shit, you might even say "this sounds like it came from death row". It's from 2007. I can only assume the dude wanted to emulate a 90s album, judging by the sound, the artist name, the track names, and the album name. "Conflicts & Confusion". Looking past all of that, the rapping is actually pretty cool. One thing can not be debated - the beats on this album are fucking dope.

Haiku D'Etat - Los Dangerous
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2915426782d45d/
This is something I downloaded randomly. It's in english. The album is very interesting, it's just called "Haiku D'Etat" I think. I'm gonna leave this one up for everyone to make their own impression of.

Blue Sky Black Death, Jus Allah, Wise Intelligent & Sabac Red
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29154374a0e5ab/
Blue Sky Black Death, Mikah-9 - Grimey Styles
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2915383a9582ae/
I'm not sure who or what Blue Sky Black Death. As you may have noticed I download a lot of random shit so I don't necessarily know a lot about it all. I am guessing it's either a band, a sound institute or an orchestra because the album has two discs. Disc one is ambient music and just, i dunno, sounds like a movie soundtrack. CD two has a bunch of tracks with different rappers rapping over them. Pretty cool shit.

8Ball & MJG - Been Done Some Shit
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29155161b70a9d/
8Ball & MJG - What You Weigh Me
http://www.zshare.net/audio/29156403b54171/
Two tracks off of a bonus CD for the double album "Lost". I have never been into 8Ball & MJG much, I just like a few individual tracks, these among them.

Company Flow - Patriotism
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2915561b7c14d5/
Another track Chronic put me onto. I ended up downloading the whole Rawkus presents Soundbombing series, volumes one through three. This song is nothing but dope.

Other than that, if anyone has Obie Trice's "Dina Rae Me" I want it. I have a 192kbps rip but it's pretty nasty quality, sounds like it was recorded from a really shitty tape.

Wasn't it me that gave you the Foreign Exchange album Rizzle? It just hit me as I scrolled down and saw you post a few songs from the album. Anyway, I don't know if you ever told me whether or not you liked the album. Did you? When I first got that album, I was blown away. I would listen to it from start to finish all the fucking time. I'll still do it without a problem. Dope fucking album. I think Tay and Nicolay are doing a second one too. I'm not sure when or anything, but that'll DEFINITELY be something to look forward to.

Also.. do you listen to Demigodz? More specifically.. Apathy?

Apathy is an example of underground hip hop that is NO better in terms of content than commercial music. Only difference is, his beats are boring and his lyrical ability is somewhat amusing.

Well, i'm not gonna sit here and say he makes the greatest songs in the world. I've always been a fan of him as an MC though. Dude is ridiculous lyrically. One of the best i've ever heard. But there was a time I could say that about Canibus too, but it didn't matter a whole lot when he didn't have a good album out. I can listen to Apathys shit though, it's not bad at all. Basically, i'm a fan of Apathy like i'm a fan of Fabolous, Cassidy, Jin and some others. I don't like their actual music a whole lot, but they can all spit and do it very well. Know what i'm saying? Ap's "Baptism By Fire" mixtape was pretty fucking dope. If I wanna blast some dope music in my car, it probably won't be Apathy. But if i'm gonna listen to something with my windows up or at home, he's definitely there.

Here's a few tracks to listen to..

Apathy - Ap Is Like
http://www.zshare.net/audio/2929677ac14fb4/

Apathy - The Game ft. Vinny Paz

Haven't gotten into Demigodz yet but I will now. Apathy yeah. Eastern Philosophy was cool. Favorites include "All About Crime" and "Doe Raker Check".

I really liked the Foreign Exchange album too and yes you were the one to supply it. I had bought it but in instrumental version by mistake. I really like it. The whole album has its very own sound. Nicolay makes really cool beats. "Raw Life" is just so fucking dope. Another song he made that I love is "The Williams" with Supastition. I haven't gotten too heavily into Little Brother either yet, although I downloaded like fifteen albums and singles off of oink last week. Phonte comes tight on this album though.

Btw. that Mikah-9 song I uploaded is a little far out there, but check it out. Actually, you should get that entire Blue Sky Black Death album.

Yeah, I think we agree on him. I used to bump him a lot back in the 10th-11th grade and shit. I always thought Celph Titled had better punchlines though.

But, I don't know, I wanted to make a point that not all underground rap is abstract.

Whole Smiff n Wessun's "Reloaded" was so underrated. "here I stand" is such a classic alone, plus songs like "warriorz hear" or "gunn rap" make it one of the best hip-hop productions of 2005.
I think most Boot Camp rappers are underrated. Only Sean Price gets some fame, while he's not the best rapper there IMO. Buckshot is soo underrated with his Black Moon project. He can drop a damn hot track like "this goes out to you", chillout track like "this is what it sounds like (worldwind)" or a bit deeper "on the block I'm from" (it's a bonus track but my fave from "war zone" album) not even mentioning his album with 9th wonder which was dope from the beginning to an end.

Sean Price is so whack. His voice is un-listenable, his lyrics are average with an average multi-rhyme scheme and nis content is no better than that of Lil Jon's Eastside Boyz.

yeah that's why I don't get why he blew up and became quite famous while other BCC members "stayed in his shadow". Most of other BCC rappers are much better than him. They have original styles, original voices and in my opinion Smiff n Wessun or Black moon > Heltah Skeltah.

Whattt! Sean P is that dude! Nah but.. he aint a great rapper, but he's one I enjoy. I'm assuming you know what I mean when I say that. I've always been a big fan of Heltah Skeltah. Him and Rock made some dope albums. I enjoy Sean P's solo work as well. I'm not gonna lie and say it's all great though. As far as his voice? I don't see a problem with it at all. lol.
