I've always loved this track and just came across this live performance. Tell me that ain't kick-ass. Tell me Barry White, Al B Sure, El Debarge and James Ingram didn't all tear that shit down.

Real r'n'b singers mayn. Not that fake ass Usher/Chris Brown/Ne-Yo wack ass garbage that passes as r'n'b these days.

edit - theres a music video too!! :D

I agree.Nowadays r n b is complete and utter trash.Same old bullshit over and over again and some wack rapper drops a lame verse.Barry White was a legend.Great voice. All these r n b singers sound the same but Barry White had a very distinct voice.Thats what made him great in my eyes.

Barry White is the real Bigfoot/Sasquach that people have seen roaming around the woods over the years.

What's funny is my parents hated this crap, since they grew up on Marvin, Teddy, Sam, and of course Barry etc etc etc, what's also funny is they probably thought all of them sounded the same also. But hey, they arent from that generation.

It's not necessarily generation thing, not at all, it's a quality issue.

I can understand if your parents didn't like Al B Sure/El Debarge et cetera. While those guys are excellent, they don't compare to Stevie or Marvin or even other Motown cats.

But shit, compared to the fucking wackness that passes for R'n'B now, the cats of the late 80's were awesome.

it could be generational(or at least have some influence). we look back at what made our youth pretty much and love it because it makes us feel "young". its the same with everything. old people do it with cars, food, etc. even my father. it even applies to me thats why i might like tupac, biggie, etc and hate chingy. but someone of a generation before me might hate tupac and like krsone and flava flav all because of the period of time it was around and it was when they were young.
