Is it cool when white/non black people 'talk black' or does it sound silly? Is it acceptable if the person has been raised amongst black people/in a black home?


Also my American friends...you must come across the 'ALi G' syndrome often...how does it sound to you...what are your feelings on the subject...?

its not cool when anyone tries and talk like something they're not. And I dont think theres anything called "talking black". If ur raised in a neighborhood with a certain slang and a certain swagger and u talk that way, then its fine regardless of what color you are. But if you're some suburban kid that drives in his mommy's Beamer, and you put on a front to speak a certain way then thats a different story. Its wack regardless of what color you are.

I remember this one Black dude, in junior high used to talk like some typical white dude, and all of a sudden when he got into highschool his accent and vocab switches... And it was easy to see how fake he is, where as we had poor ass white kids in the same school that spoke a certain way fom a young age cuz of the neighborhood they were from, and didnt matter what color they were, it was just genuine.
