An eyelid twitch is called a blepharospasm. It happens when your eyelid muscles repeatedly and rhythmically contract. In some instances, the eyelid may repeatedly close (or nearly close) and re-open.

Anybody had this happen before...probably?
Ok...I don't have this exactly but it feels just like this only on the right side of my ribs AND IT WON'T STOP :fury:
WTF is it and how do I make it stop?

Things like this are usually stress-related. Been stressed out lately?

if your eyelid twitches try rinsing your eyes with soap and water. or put a couple of eye drops in your eye.

like Chronic said too it could be stress related.

I think I have this too. Doesn't happen often, but it's annoying. According to Wikipedia:

"The cause can be caffeine, fatigue, or a possible irritant . . . . Blepharospasms can be caused by concussions in some rare cases. It is resulted from a blow to the back of the head affecting the Basal Ganglia."

"* Drug therapy: Drug therapy for blepharospasm has proved generally unpredictable and short-lasted. Finding an effective regimen for any patient usually requires patience of patient and physician. In some cases a dietary supplement of magnesium chloride has resulted effective.
* Botulin toxin injections
* Surgery: Those patients that have not responded well to medication or botulinum toxin injection are candidates for surgical therapy. The most effective surgical treatment has been protractor myectomy, the removal of muscles responsible for eyelid closure.
* Dark glasses, for sunlight sensitivity as well as to cover one's eyes from other people.
* Stress management and support groups can help sufferers deal with the disease and prevent social isolation.
* Using a tweezers to remove some excess eyelashes from the outer corner of the eyelid may sometimes solve this condition."

You guys missed the part about it NOT being my eye...It's actually a spasm on the right side of my rib cage...It's been a few hours and it's still doing it

Oh...yea I do get pains in my ribs if I lose a lot of weight...that is not the case.

It feels like nerves...my rib doesn't hurt and it doesn't feel like a muscle...it feels like a pulse

I think i have it too, sometimes. But not like it nearly closes my whole eye and it just lasts for some seconds and then its gone.

Keco first you sneeze every time you think about sex, now your rib twitches uncontrollably. Maybe it's time for a doctor check up :(

don't want to :( I would feel like a huge nerd going to the dr for a nerve spasm

i knew you were talking about your rib. if you feel twitching in your rib maybe its because of muscle tightness. try to keep yourself straight. twist your body a little (from left to right). that'll stretch your muscles in that area.
