Post yours. I've hit a brick wall and need the community's help to break through, or a dingo might eat my baby. I'm not joking.

- musically, moviely (i know thats not a word), imagely (neither is that one), charismaly (cough), T.I. is the closest thing we have had to Tupac since 1996. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it haters! And yes, 'Pac was a mainstream rapper.

- Jadakiss' The Predator Is Back mixtape cover is better than the actual music.

- What the fuck is Cam'ron thinking? Im not talking about the Dipset internal beef or the Curtis shit... Cam'ron come on.... Boxer shorts?

- After such a Wizzy flooded 2006, where is Lil Wayne in 2007?

-Mike jones single is great but only because of the easy sample

-El-P album was WTF! i think you need to smoke something really strong to enjoy that ( i know i am gonna get flamed by everyone for this one)

- some ppl need to get over 2pac already. Get some new Music.

- I actually was very surprised after what i heard about what 50 cent said in the recent pres conference.

- I want new shit from Murs, Elzhi , Immortal Technique

- What the fuck is Cam'ron thinking? Im not talking about the Dipset internal beef or the Curtis shit... Cam'ron come on.... Boxer shorts? ( i copy pasted this because rukas is absolutely right)

- I really should check out TI more because i dont really see whats the fuss about him.

- Anyone seen the show the white rapper? Wow they suck.

- Kanye's new single sounds a bit crunkish and its not so great.

* I'm enjoying less and less newer music as the days come and go. It's come to the point where I'm gonna start re-buying hip-hop classics or instrumental albums as compared to whatever just dropped recently.

* DJ Jazzy Jeff dropped an absolute monster of an album in Return of the Magnificent.. The smooth, jazzy layered production is exactly what the game needed and the guest verses by Mef, Kane, Pos, Peedi Peedi & CL were all dope.

BUT surprise surprise people have slept on that album besides the same 10 or so members on here who know whats the fuck is exactly poppin'.

* Amusement Park by 50 is dead set garbage.

* Again, Cilvaringz "I" is a dope album, breath of fresh air, illness induced hip-hop straight from the 36th Chamber of the Wu. Go and hear that shit.. NOW!.

* The doper an artist is the less he sells????? Although that doesn't count for everyone check Nas, etc..

I officially hate you for thinking Erick Sermon is a horrible rapper.

EDIT: Shit I thought Rukas made this thread. Everything I posted was directed at him.

I'm still pissed no one has said a word about the KRS and Marley Marl album leaking.

Then for such a predominant "westcoast" fanbase not one word of J Wells either. Not only is he the best thing coming out of the west right now, Kurupt actually drops good verses over his shit. Digital Master and Digital Smoke were both great, Wolfpac mixtape was also.

Jada, Styles P, and then The Lox as a whole all drop shit and still no one cares. Not cus of bad publicity but because of bad music. Styles P isnt all that bad actually.

All of the 6 tracks off the Finding Forever advance are finding forever, its classic shit.

Introspective Kanye on this new single is my favorite Kanye.

Lately Marco Polo and Evidence has been my shit.

Lol @ the TI comment. The Jadakiss mixtape isn't that good. I love Jada, but I don't think many mixtapes these days are ever good anyway. As for the last comment, hopefully we don't have to hear him this year.

Jada, Styles P, and then The Lox as a whole all drop shit and still no one cares. Not cus of bad publicity but because of bad music. Styles P isnt all that bad actually.
What do you mean no one cares? Both Jada and Styles are dope. Always have been. I've always thought Sheek was fucking garbage though. The worst one by far. I just don't know if Lox can make real solid solo albums or even a real solid group album.

Im sick of you talking about TI, no offense but TI brings nothing new, nothing fresh, the man raps about a lot of things i dont want to hear about. He doesn't paint pictures with his words, and it's all about the hook. Im holdin all the work in this bag shit, what you know about that??? I know this is just one track but its just plain corny to me.

Dont get me wrong, there are TI songs that i enjoy but you are painting this man to be one of the gems of the world and it's just plain false.

Of course pac was a mainstream rapper because he sold records, millions of those bitches. He evolved and kept it fresh with every album, without being corny. Just think Pac's last album was Makaveli. One of the most personal/emotional albums of all time. Not to mention he was trying to sign the Wu to Makaveli records before he passed. Wu-Tang is known worldwide for being true to themselves and continuing to make good music.

Plus, it's hard for me to take "The Pimp Squad Click" seriously.

i dunno where you been. but lil wayne is everywhere. well everytime i open on the tv on a music channel he's there. if its not on the mia track, its on the we takin over track, if its not on that its elsewhere. the dude is eveywhereeee. everytime i listen to a new hip hop/rnb track i was ask myself if hes gonna be featured in it now! i cant wait for the fuy to make his own album now. with all the publicity he has, now would be a good time to drop an album.

those are the points i agree on. the return of the magnificient is excellent. the problem is for most people it doesnt sound enough mainstream.

Oh it did, but the cover was just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dope.
lolllllll any links to the mixtape?

lol, there are probably eight people on this board who like ISWYD. It's definitely more listener-friendly than his earlier work. I do feel like flaming you. I think I'll just say that if you can't feel at least "The Overly-Dramatic Truth"... you've got some living to do.

I dunno about T.I. :: Pac. When he talks about the concept of his new album, I think he's trying to recreate what gave Pac his appeal, but other than that, I don't think he comes close. As far as the total package, though, I don't think anyone can. 2Pac's bigger than Tupac now (if you feel me)... it's like the statue of Rocky at the Philadelphia Museum (I mean this in a positive way). Musically, I think Trick Daddy's the closest. Maybe Beanie Sigel?

Hmm. Thanks for the input, kids. Do continue.

When I talk about TI being like Pac, I dont mean they are the same, obviously no one will be like Pac, and their music is different. I look at it more from a marketing and total package point of view. TI is as versatile as Pac was, has the fashion sense, the look, the acting ability, the image, the work ethic, etc etc.

Obviously the comparison isnt being made on the music. Both have their highs and lows and their own merits.
