if they were at least 5 rappers outthere who made ~500tracks and gave a speech like malc x, THEN i´d say 2pac is overrated

Why are you getting worked up over this? A majority of the stuff has no relevance to his rapping ability, and that stuff is full of untruths:

"Also people love to accuse 50 of being a snitch with pretty much no basis to the argument yet Pac blatantly snitches on jimmy henchman and Haitian jack on against all odds." - Talking about it on a track is far different than actually snitching to the cops.

"he said him self that he was never a drug dealer (yet he talked about it) " - Wrong.

"Pac talked about the same old shit “my enemies this, I’m an outlaw that” all the damn time dude repeated himself more than Mike Jones." - This is being said about a guy who rapped about life, death, pain, joy, friendship, war/enemies, religion, parties, growing up in the hood, women.

The only reason anyone could accuse Pac of repeating himself is because he made hundreds of tracks in a 5 year period, which is 10 times more than the other rappers whose music gets played.

You're not going to change the guy's mind because it's based on a mistaken view of Pac's life and he doesn't care for Pac's music. So why reply?

Damn, I knew there were plenty of Pac haters in the world, but I didn't know there could be so much ignorance toward Pac. I was about 8 when Pac died and even I know Pac wasn't an idiot like the blogger is saying. I can't even believe his followers.

-Tupac ditched lyrics cause he didn't want metaphors and punchlines to outshine his content. He intentionally ditched that in his rhyming to make a change. That's the heart of a true MC to sacrifice that.

-Three. Tupac intentionally repeated and rhymed about the same things to bring change. Remember when Pac said in that interview that if he keeps talking about how dirty a place is that someone might clean it up? Well he applied that message to his music which is why you may hear repetition in his lyrics.

-Tupac released 4 classics including a number of solid albums afterdeath and some hot street albums that leaked in the late 90s. 2Pac has the greatest discography and probably the greatest body of work ever. From Thug Life, which is an overlooked and underrated classic-makaveli to so much more.

-Tupac played a heavy part in influencing other greats. Most notably, hands on mentoring with Biggie Smalls. Hands off/indirect influences such as other hip hop greats DMX, Nas, Eminem, etc.

-He's the most diverse and influential mc on the face of this earth.

-Tupac screaming Thug Life derived from his childhood. Going to artschool has nothing to do with how you were brought up and doesn't define social status or who you really are.


There's so many ways that you Pac fans can argue for Pac instead of that passion bullshit arguement and look at his influence and inspiration tired arguements.

I'm tired of arguing for 2Pac. You other fans need to dig deep and do a better job and represent your hero well. I'm ashamed of how all of you present yourself and I'm ashamed of even admitting I'm a Pac fan because of this.

Pac's a great artist. But from what i've seen, either people overrate him, or underrate him. He had some qualities that I've never seen in an artist before but at the same time, I dont think he was some flawless rapper. As a rapper he's just mediocre at best, but dude had the charisma, dedication and emotion like no other.
