It's safe to say that many of us here in DSTM fucking love Rage.

I grew up on 'em man, remember performing with rock bands at school and doing 'killing in the name' since I was like 12. My generation loved RATM and everything about them, a lot of people were upset when they split.

They better come over to the UK pretty damn soon.

I love 'em. I hope these few gigs they are doing will lead to them getting back together and make some new music. The break up of Audioslave has to leave that door open.

they are just doing a couple of shows around the country to promote a cause (dont remember which one) and said they are not getting back together.....but who knows, things can change.........and yeah RATM was insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think those who are involved in audioslave are gonna give that up or put it aside for a rage against the machine project.

Rage against the machine had some great tracks tho. I liked them too.

On February 15, 2007, Cornell officially announced his departure from Audioslave, issuing this statement: "Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am permanently leaving the band Audioslave. I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors.¨ [4]

On February 23, New York Post reported that "sources tell that the split had more to do with money than anything else. According to the source: 'Chris was unhappy with the financial arrangement within the group - he wrote all the music, yet the other three bandmates took an equal share in the multimillion-dollar publishing rights.'" [5] The other members of the band are yet to make any public statement on the situation and the future of the band.
that came from wikipedia

With the current political climate and today's generations complete fucking lack of rebellion and balls to speak out, we NEED RATM.

word. i'd love to hear what they would have to say about the whole Bush administration/Terror War/Iraq situation. i never really felt Audioslave that much anyway, RATM was much better.

As of June 2007, the website www.ratm82407.com was launched, featuring two countdowns: one ending on June 11, 2007, the day when the website's purpose will be revealed, and the other ending on August 24, 2007.[35] The website's connection to the band is unknown. The website is registered to Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. Live Nation owns Alpine Valley Music Theatre, in East Troy Wisconsin.

Additionally, there have been sightings of a new album by Rage Against the Machine. It has been seen on Amazon[2], VH1, MTV, and MSN's websites, named The Lowdown. The label is called Sexy Intellectual.
that was from wikipedia, who no's if its real or fake. lets hope its the truth

OMFG if this is true this is going to kick some major major major ass. please please let it be true.

EDIT - http://music.aol.com/artist/rage-against-the-machine/23206/album/the-lowdown/1084338

http://music.msn.com/album/?album=51730493

surely this sites wouldnt have it up if it wasn't true?

I predict - 8/24/07 must be the release date, of the new album.

fuck im excited. this is gonna be HUGE.
i think it's more likely that since that site is registered to the owners of Alpine Valley Music Theater, 8/24/07 probably refers to a concert they are gonna announce. i find it unlikely that they would have gotten together and completed an album this quickly, but i suppose it's possible. we can hope anyway.
