oh darn. i was hoping she was 14 and akon had some problem with underaged girls. then maybeone day he could be brought to justice and sent to jail where he would be singing "...locked up, they wont let me out..."
Americans? Don't generalize please it makes you look like a complete waste of a human being.

My eyes do not lie... There was at least 15 different nationalities and only 1 was falling asleep and throwing up at 3pm.
As if she's gonna put her real age on her MySpace page:
She's 14 and the daughter of a pastor...see below:

Read those stories a few days ago, I'm not disputing whether the child is 14 really or 19, I'm just saying everyone was bashing Akon like he was the sole proprietor. Nah this girl had a choice she needs to be held accountable as well as Akon.
Come to america and drink with me. Your perspective will change. Don't judge the rest of america on the 18 and 19 year old yuppys that travel the world. The real drinkers can't afford to travel.

.. and lol at ppl that like bragging about how much liqour they can hold. Thats like bragging about being an alcoholic. I never really got that. Shit if person can get tipsy off a sip, or ripped off a one pape, then good for them. They save money.. well atleast if they're smart.

... I merely said from what I saw in Mexico that young girls with little experience of alcohol end up getting pissed and acting like sluts...
new evidence has surface which has made me change my opinion. Namely this photo:

twenty years ago this was a valid argument, but today, i just don't know anymore. it's not just about your own kid either. i can raise my kid perfectly, but the child is gonna be influenced by its friends. if friends get to stay up long, get more money, get to go out to parties etc etc and my child won't, he's not gonna think "okay thats because my daddy loves me", he's gonna become rebellious. however, if you do allow those things, he's gonna be spoiled. so what to do? these days it's no longer on just the parents imo. it's on the collective of parents, it's on the teachers, it's on society. tvs and computers need to be controlled somehow. they should only work from 16:00-21:00. the rest of the day they should be inoperable. there should be no cellphones allowed for people under the age of 16, and if someone were caught with one, it would be destroyed at the expense of whoever owned it. children should all be forced to wear ugly clothes so no one would make fun of anyone. physical diciplining needs to be re-introduced and re-enforced in the schools. if a child is caught drinking or smoking, there should be an efficient penalty, not sending them to their rooms with tvs and pcs and consoles for two weeks. they shouldn't even be given a stack of cards. two weeks in their room except for when they're eating or in school would make them think twice.Dont blame MTV or B.E.T. or whatever for this kind of behaviour. If parents have less influence on their kids than music stations or the tv in general, then you (as a father or mother) are doing something wrong.

when all that is said and done, i'll agree that it's on the parent. but today, i think it's unfair to blame a fucked up child on the parents. it's not always their fault.
