Im not really that nihilistic, even if I pretend to be sometimes. I’ve lived through poverty and being a teenage single mom. I was laid off during the government budget cuts in 2008 and struggled to find work after for a couple years. Maybe it’s naive, but I believe I’ll be fine. When I voted, it wasn’t just for my own best interest, I was voting for the people who will actually struggle through this.
