This is my thread

Hang in there girl! Smoke some weed.

I would love to help but I feel like setting up a fundraising like this for you is a responsibility that I am not prepared to take on.

If the link gets posted here, my broke ass will scrape up anything I can find, turning over every couch cushion for coins, and wire the fund to you.

Where do you live?

Where I live, it's almost disappeared behind the horizon. It will be fully gone in a few weeks, and then won't return for a couple of months. You read that right. I'm about to not see the sun for two months lol.

I'm an immigrant to the bluest state in the US. Minnesota - I have much more to learn from the natives and this video is a helpful guide. :D:D

Thank you so much for this. It really means a lot to me. It has been so hard, am on strong antidepressants due to several attempts to take my own life. I would be extremely grateful if someone set this up for me. I am happy to share all of the details, I have no shame in talking about it anymore even though it is a women's issue.

I have no life, am in pain 24/7 and constantly bleed (sorry for TMI)

Your post means a lot and I am humbled that people care. I am so sorry about your niece and am glad she got the treatment that she needed xxxx
That really suck to hear. I've heard of similar wait times for people in Canada, since I went to school with a lot of Canadians, and that seems to be the downside of the two healthcare systems.

I hope it gets better for you.
If you set up a GoFundMe I will surely donate some tangible but not super-helpful amount of money, share it in the 2pac discord, and on my Facebook page as "help my friend get this surgery". Which isn't much but the point here is: you should really put yourself out there. I see GoFundMe pages like this raking in money all the time. Nobody should have to live that way. Let it be up to people whether they want to help you, which a lot of people will if you let them Katie.

If you want, we could set it up in a way where it's my name saying something like "help my friend get this" and it's your bank account number and everything else. Or someone else on here that feels like they know katie and she trusts them, offer to tread in my place. Not to be shady, but if that would help you feel comfortable getting the help you deserve, swallow your pride. That's a pragmatic approach to overcoming that which bothers you the way I see it. Put it in your name or put it in someone else's, but don't die on principle while the Kardashians make billions. Please, lol.

My brother had a daughter this year. She was born with a disease called "SMA" which is a muscle atrophy syndrome. Her lookout was: iron lung before the age of 1, dead before the age of 2. But there is this super advanced treatment, which basically they injected her with some kinda something that went into all her cells and changed the DNA in every single one of her cells, curing her of the disease. The treatment costs 2 million british pounds. Due to our health care system, she got it for free. The funny thing is, our hospitals started screening for this syndrome 3 months before she was born. Had she been concieved 3 months earlier, she would have died a horrible death. But our system where I live is such that she was able to get the treatment without my brother and his wife having to pay anything. 2 million pounds per treatment, For free. Don't feel embarassed. Feel enraged that someone is making money off of that which could cure you. And let it be up to the world to take care of you. This is why more than half the money we make in Norway goes to taxes. We live great lives with lots of bacon with our eggs, but at the same time, something fucked up happens like your child is born with a disease we have a treatment for, and the goverment can afford that too. There are so many people out there that would give from their wealth so that you could have a life. Please reconsider.

That is so wild that they caught and treated it so early. Good for your niece and your bro and you, too.

I am very grateful for the NHS in the UK, however, I need an urgent operation and have been advised I am looking for at least a 2-year wait. Putting it bluntly if I have to wait two years, I won't be here as I cannot continue to live in this amount of pain. I have no option but to go private and get it done by March. Now going to cost me thousands of pounds that I don't have :(

I love the NHS. I was ill as a kid and it took very good care of me. I have private healthcare for the family, but I still use the NHS for my long term health issues because it's so good ...

How come the NHS aren't prioritising your operation? They are usually pretty good with the major stuff, it's the minor stuff you have to wait for. Can you get referred to another NHS trust, because each operates individually and manages their budgets differently.

Social health care needs to be protected and I'm happy to pay towards it, even thought I mostly use my private healthcare. Health should be for everyone, not just the wealthy.

I don't agree with healthcare being a profit making sector, like in the USA. People over dollars. But I don't think the prison system should be either...

The NHS is fantastic for life saving procedures. But it isn't perfect. Neither is your system though. The biggest problem we have is that we shut it down for two years during the pandemic. It will take at least a decade to fix. The second problem we have is that the government have borrowed bigtime to support people during the pandemic (as did the US - but that support wasn't socialism for some reason).... And we don't have the reserve currency to help us support that massive debt. Interest rates have gone up and I think we've been downgraded by a number of credit agencies. It also seems to be popular to try and avoid taxes, this is also something I strongly disagree with. Social health care is progressive and definitely the right way forward. Ensuring it is well funded by simplifying tax policy and encouraging society to understand the benefits of effective taxation will ensure the future of the NHS and other social support.

Fred and his country have the right idea. Although they also have a shit load of money with 1tn in their sovereign wealth fund

Yeah, ours isn't perfect either. One of the worst. Our country is also the unhealthiest so even if universal healthcare was a thing here, there are going to be some fat shits that drink and smoke that are going to milk the system dry. Like myself. The amount of anti-science in our country would also mean people go to get their immediate issues fixed, like pain, but won't follow up and address more long term issues afterwards, even if it won't cost them anything. They just don't want to.

Because of what it is I need a certain type of specialist and they are limited on the NHS and some have a three year wait due to then NHS cutting down on theatre time for women's conditions. Unfortunatly unless it is life threatening I am not a priority.

Elon Fuck banning journalists that question him now.

This is after he said giving live location updates on someone is considered doxxing and banned the person that posts flight tracker information on his plane.

He's really going to burn this shit to the ground lol

Musk has stopped paying rent on Twitter offices and is considering not giving out severance packages to anyone he fired/laid off. He's tweeting QAnon symbols and conspiracies. His Hunter Biden Twitter files thing was mostly a bust. He's managed to convince a lot of people that he's stupid and seems to think his job at Twitter is to tweet the most and be it's largest troll.

I do think that flight tracker thing was crazy and should have been removed and shut down, though. But those journalists were just reporting the story, not sharing the info. Anyway, they've only been banned for a week.

I wouldn't be happy if my private jet was tracked, but I also feel like the risks are overstated. It only tracks the plane. Once he's off the plane, he's incognito again. Airports are very secure places and even in gun totting America, shoulder rockets are difficult to purchase. He has enough money for security and armoured vehicles etc. Plus, he could try being a bit less of a prick and people would like him again. Plus plus, the kind of people that would actually do something, are the people he appeals to

I don't know about the UK but in the US, flight trackers are shared often, especially in sports. Especially in college sports where forums dedicated to a specific school's football or basketball team will post anomalies in flights taken for the reason of speculating a coach visiting a potential recruit or visiting another school for a potential job. It's a bit niche but it has been around for over a decade, at least the practice of posting it on social media sites and sports forums.

What does Elon want? Not sharing the screenshot of the flight path? So is it OK for people to say "oooh, look at Elon's flight history" but not post a screenshot of the tracker's map?

He's a tit and with all the location and other personal data his own platform takes from its users, its hypocritical.

It's always fun watching crack toting, whore fucking rich people in their private jets leaving ground zero in swarms after the superbowl.

It's true - free speech is never upheld. I'm not sure what Elon's doing - I guess trying to be some kind of Batman? Silly fool.

Is it true what they say? That 'successful CIA ops are the ones you never hear about' ?

At the present course, people are going to implant chips in their brains and learn to love it.

I will keep covering my phone with foil like a Chipotle burrito!!

I think I got doxxed once. Maybe I deserved it, I don't know. Whoever did it was probably thinking like he was fighting trolls that endangered his security or something. He (excuse me, OR she) ended up being a huge troll for throwing a brick though a window of the wrong house scaring a newborn and a mother.

Fortunately, I have a freedom with Kel Tec 12 gauge etched in it.;)

Pretend like it never happened!! Reminds me of those silly White House petitions that were the talk of town a decade ago. "Petition to arrest George Soros" etc...

Meanwhile, looks like CBDC and social credit score system is being prepared.

Speaking of, he posted a tweet that he would step down if enough people asked him to in the poll. When I voted it was 57% yes with 9 hours to go. I'm assuming he wasn't saved by fate, so what's going on, is he stepping down? Pretending like it never happened?

I think he will appoint a new CEO and he himself will relegate himself to the advisory board and probably use the CEO as a puppet to do the same shit he did as CEO.
