Animals is pretty funny. At least from the first episode I've seen.

And Shameless has been pretty good this season too. A real driving storyline.

It seems like everyone's watching tv shows these days. And Jokerman went over the top. I recently gave a try to Homeland and watched all, and now watching Suits once in a while. Quite entertaining, but I can't help but feel I'm wasting time each time I watch. So I never watch alone and make it a socializing kind of thing. How do you guys do it?

Yeah, I toned down a good bit in weeks past. While they are still entertaining, I definitely wasted some time that could have been better spent studying.

As far as the social aspect of it, some shows with cult followings like The Walking Dead have people hosting watching parties. Or simply they just all watch as a group on Sunday nights. Other shows have the same thing, like Game of Thrones or something.

And then there are forums, like Reddit's TV section where you get suggestions for TV shows and then specific subreddits for each show which have post-episode discussions.

A lot of time to spend on a show, but if you have like one or two you watch religiously, it's once a week for about 3 months a year.

I stick the TV on at 11pm and watch until midnight when I fall asleep. It still adds up to a decent amount of TV watching and I should probably read a book instead. But... It is what it is.

I'm the opposite. I feel like every time I socialize I'm wasting time. It's fun sometimes, but what am I left with? I've always been a big movie watcher but I thought I would run an experiment and see if I could keep up with all the scripted shows coming out the past year. Watch at least the first episode of each. I did it and then some. But unless a show is really good, I'm always multitasking while watching. I usually have a laptop open and am doing something on there at the same time. And when I watch I'm doing more than passively watching like many people. I'm critiquing it and re-writing it in my mind. The way I am everything becomes an intellectual exercise. But anything can be seen as a waste of time. Watching sports, for instance, or listening to the same song for the hundredth time. (I know someone who thinks eating is a waste of time.) But does everything have to be intellectually edifying? No. If you're having a good time in the moment, that's a part of the good life too. Whatever it is you're doing that you enjoy. Just make sure you make room for other things you find important too.

I think we were wondering earlier this year how Superstore was going to do. Turns out they just got a second season.

I'm almost done with Master of None. It was slow and boring in the beginning but once he finally got with the girl (Rachel?) and stuck with her, it got interesting and funny.

Love on Netflix was pretty good too.

Went to a Bulls game last night.

lol fuck this team. Letting Thibs go was a huge mistake. And I think Pau walks, despite what he says about us being his top priority and I hope we don't trade Butler because he just might be our future with Rose tearing his ACL every time he walks

I thought of Casey shortly after I heard the news, crazy.

From what i remember reading about him in the past is he didn't take certain medications or whatever because of his religion. He probably died from something that he could've cured or lived with is what I'm guessing

Ah, the ol' Steve Jobs method. Just read Prince's wiki and he was a Jehovah's Witness. So I think blood transfusions he denied, not sure about what meds he would deny but I guess each person is different on how far they'll go.

Didn't look too much into the cause of his death since the autopsy will take a few weeks. Same with Chyna, though that's rumored to be a drug-induced death and it's not surprising considering her tumultuous fall from the WWE.

Ah well, shit happens. There's been a lot of death the past two months as far as celebrities go.

SOFI was all about the Jawbone UP a few years back. Turns out Best Buy has a sale on the UP3 for $45, down from $179. Maybe it's the Jew in me looking for a deal, but I placed an order online, as they were sold out in all my local stores. I'm not sure if they're all out of stock and my order gets cancelled, but I shipped to store to be picked up on Friday. Hopefully it goes through. A lot of my friends use it to track their runs and sleep and eating. Of course, they're much more fit than I am but what the hell, I'll give it a shot.

Pittsey, we were discussing once what non-US country had the most NFL fans and deserved an NFL team. I told you the Mexicans or Canadians were the next best logical fit.

Gotta say, Brazil surprised me, but I figure Canada doesn't have that many people and the percentage of their population that is NFL fans is probably the highest.

lol @ Saudi
