Never torrent? Wow.

I looked up True Detective on Warez and a lot of the links were dead. It's only been running since the New Year, right? How are links dying already?

There are still alternate links, but the BU links are all down and that really deters me from downloading. So I had to go the Pirate Bay route for that.

I've never used a torrent either.

I also don't have to go looking for downloads. After a show airs, it's sitting on my server. Sickbeard is the tool of choice (for TV).

I gave Shameless (US) a shot. First episode hasn't really hooked me quite yet. They live like they don't even deserve a house. And I don't think I've ever said that before.

They have a house....But they still manage to give me that homeless vibe.

Hello friends. My Pap has to start using Excel and he lives far from me so I can't really show him how to use it in person. Anyone know any good resources on how to learn Excel at a beginner level, websites, videos and such. thanks

Usually YouTube has plenty of proper tutorials. I would suggest looking there first.

Give it time and Breaking Bad will move up. It only just ended.

I would take Curb over 30 Rock, although 30 Rock is a very clever show as well. Curb is funnier and I find is more relate able for me.

Anyone do Xfit?

I've been doing it for a while, about twice a week. I haven't changed up my diet or alcohol/nicotine use at all but I have seen results although I haven't gained mass overall. basically just more toned/cut.

But damn do I suck at a lot of the core shit like double unders and push jerks. also i wish we did more benching...

I don't, but I know some people that do and they seem to swear by it.

I also saw a meme that says "If you're vegan and you do crossfit..... which one do you tell people about first?" which makes me want to do it so that I can annoy people with my superior lifestyle </troll>

In all seriousness though, I don't really know what it is.

I was looking to add to my vinyl collection.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Very-RARE...61208381928?pt=UK_Records&hash=item2588c4b1e8

Might just stick to the cd. I don't think I ever paid that much for a 2pac cd.... Although it was probably close. :)

I have a bunch of vinyl. 2Pac, Nine Inch Nails, Prince, MJ. But I currently don't have a turntable. Most vinyl I get, I give to my cousin as he has about 4000 vinyls and collects them. Pre-Digital era music does sound better on vinyl. Early 90's hip-hop like "Illmatic", "Enter The Wu-Tang", "Project : Funk Da World", "Ready To Die", "Midnight Marauders", it's very obvious.

I have quite a bit. But I don't have anything near 4000. More like 200.

Vinyl is 24 bit. CDs are 16 bit. That's why Vinyl is superior. SACD should have caught on..!

I doubt I would hear the difference between vinyl and CD. At least not with a laptop and a pair of Samsung headphones. And even many audiophiles agree that lossless and 320kbps are hard to distinguish from each other, even with top-notch headphones, amps, etc.

I still download FLAC for albums I like because I feel they would sound better in the car. When I have my own money to splurge on audiophile headphones and an amp and all that, even then I'd probably still stick with FLAC, and that also for classics.

I've been in the market for nice headphones for a while. I know Pittsey has Denon-somethings. What do the rest of you use when you're really listening to an album, not just passively?

FLAC is still 16 bit though. In the studio the album is mixed as a 24 bit file. So... You are getting half the audio experience, even in FLAC.

This is why I am supporting this -

Just need to decide between the $300 yellow one or the $400 Lenny Kravitz one. I would have preferred the cheaper ones, but they went very quickly. Before I'd decided to get one.

A CD from the store is 24 bit then, right? Or vinyl some magical material capable of handling 24 bit?

How do you hear the difference between 16 and 24? Do you have a premium sound system or those $1000+ headphones that I'll never buy?

I'm actually about to pull the trigger on a pair of Logitech UE 6000 http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-982-...e=UTF8&qid=1394916999&sr=8-1&keywords=ue+6000

These were $88 not two days ago, but Amazon is being a bastard and trying to hurry me into buying it. It was $99 with "only one left!!" a week ago. They magically got 16 more and lowered the price, and now it's back to just one left at $99.

I'm not falling for it, fuckers.
