Pseudo-psychiatry 101. LOL

There is a lot more to me than music tastes. You can't make a judgement on someone like that. Especially someone you have never met. If I was too make the same analysis based on the little I know about you. I'd say you pretend to be something you're not in an effort to look "cooler" than others. This may be wildly incorrect, the internet is not a place where our true personality is seen. Especially on here, where we argue and push different points that we wouldn't give a shit about in real life.

I didn't like the majority of the bands you recommended. That doesn't mean the music was bad, or that I have poor taste. I feel that you see the world in black or white, so I had to put that in. I do like new music that comes out. But most of what comes out, is very bland. Doesn't grab me a lot. I go to watch several bands and performers live a year, so there must be current artists I like. Admittedly there are very, very few Northern American bands that I enjoy. Much like Ristol, the majority of the bands I like are British.

I was going to say, my son is 5. The bands are new to him. But you covered that in your last sentence.

I don't solely listen to classic bands. And I take your point that the music is played out. Because, a lot of it I have played too much. But.... In the 60s we had Motown and the invention of the Rock Band. In the 70s we got Punk rock, glam rock. Heavy Metal and hip-hop were also conceived. In the 80s we got the New Romantics. What have we got in the last 10 years that changed or defined our generation? Because my answer would be reality TV music groups and manufactured artists for kids. There should be no place for songs such as Gangnam Style, anywhere. Not even if it's fun..! I'm not saying there is no new music or artists I like. This is what happens on the internet we argue in extremes. I am saying that music is in poor health compared to the 60s, 70s, or 80s. (Not that I like 80s music..!)

I'd like to say it again. And highlight it. I didn't say there was no decent music coming out now. Because this is the internet, and people always take things to the extreme to argue their point. :)
I wasn't speaking about you specifically, though some of your posts have that old-manish yesteryear was better ring to em :). And you'd be absolutely correct in that i put up a front a lot of time, but that's because i understand lies, deceit and flattery are the main tools in getting what i want. I don't need to pretend to be cool.

The rest, i just can't be fucked. Call me on copping out if ya wish.

Ha. I was going to cop out too. Otherwise, maybe we should get a room, because we are dominating this thread.

I prefer "Vintage" to old-manish.

Low Winter Sun.

So... Lenny James and Mark Strong play the leads. They are both English putting on American accents. How do they sound to you North American natives? I know a lot of times that Americans put on the shittest English accent.

There seem to be a lot of Brits on US TV and in Hollywood these days. Most of them putting on an accent. Jason Statham's sounds shit even to me though.

Hugh Laurie does a great one. If anyone watches The Walking Dead, the actors played by Rick, The Governor, Morgan (the black guy), and Maggie are all British and it blew my mind when I heard them speak in their interviews. Because they do great Southern accents on the show.

I don't know any Americans that do British accents in a serious manner. Like in a serious show or movie. If they ever do it, they purposely do a shit one in a comedy for a scene or something.

I was shocked my Kunal Nayyar, the guy that plays Big Bang did not really have an American accent. I thought his Indian accent for the show was forced.

I saw the worst car accident yesterday. I car hit a semi head on. The driver was stuck in the car and it went up in flames before any emergency responders arrived. There were some drivers that stopped with fire extinguishers trying to put it out. I know they didn't make it. I don't even want to check the news.

I still get scared knowing you're going to be a doctor

I have an internet side, and I have a real-life side. I keep the separate.

Contract HIV or develop diabetes or whatever it is beaners are catching these days and see how treating you in a professional setting will be different than on here.

My notes would read: "A 26 year old taco-bender presented with bouts of diarrhea and confusion. When asked, he still felt the Lakers were still relevant and would win another championship 'once Kobe returned.' Diagnosis is overlooked mental retardation and treatment is euthanasia."

Boom. And your Medicaid would pay me like $500 for that.

Gotta pass my boards, first, though. Long way to go.

So is this because Americans are stupid or because American journalism is that horrible, maybe a combination of both? Or maybe the journo's know their audience? Either way, being an Americans sucks sometimes when you're reminded of the populace here

Time know that those magazine covers wouldn't shift as many units in the USA. The majority of Americans are very insular and don't want to open their eyes to the rest of the world. Not ALL Americans. In NY, for example, I met a lot more worldly people than I met in Florida.

If you really like sports, Twitter is good if you follow specific sites/writers/blogs. I have a lot of college football and then NFL news sites on tap on Twitter. I try to check at least once a day and catch up on everything. But I follow a lot of the same sites on Facebook, too, so....

Instagram is not really my thing, but I said that about Twitter too when it first started. I took a lot of pictures from the island, and other places, but I would rather organize them with Aperture than upload them to the public.

Although, I do use flickr.

Yeah, only time I tweet is if it's to enter some sweepstakes, which I never win. If someone were to follow me they would read my timeline and I'd sound like a schizophrenic.

I follow a lot for news.

Not watching this VMA shit, but I have plenty of unemployed friends that have nothing better to do on a Sunday night so I'm hearing Miley Cyrus made a fool of herself on stage. Eminem is coming out with MMLP2, and NSYNC pranced about like the poofs they are on stage and some males I know claimed to feel "nostalgic."

I went on a date Saturday. He took me to a really nice place. It was going well. He was funny. He's more than a few pounds overweight (Im not superficial. Ive dated big guys) and a financial analyst. This is safe. This is going to be a normal date, right? I bought new shoes for this date. How crazy can a financial analyst be? He told me a story about his best friend stealing his identity. It cost him $$$ and ruined his credit and he even spent a day in jail over it. Then he told me how he exacted revenge. He Saw the friends sister in a bar one night and fed her shots until she went home with him...took pix of his dick in her and sent the pix to her family and brother. Then he told me "They can't get me for rape because she's smiling and giving thumbs up in the pix."

I swear I haven't been to a strip club in a long time...8 months or longer. Close to a year. After that date, I just had to go. Fuck it. I already know the moral compass of strippers and the patrons. Even Dave Chappelle (sorry Ristol) up in there cheating on his Asian wife with lesbians. I just want to kick my feet up and eat some tater tots at the strip club.

Speaking of, check your snapchat Aron.
