This is my thread

Like all soda. Very bad for you.

But if there's no sugar/caffeine/sodium, still bad? I'm talking Sugar Free Red Bull. I don't think it has caffeine, does it? Ok, the 5 Hour Energy, which says there's also no sugar and no caffeine, just vitamins.

It is worse than sugar, it is aspartame. It's not something I want to consume. It is in too many foods in my opinion... Including Berocca.

The artificial sweetener aspartame has been the subject of several controversies since its initial approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1974. The FDA approval ofaspartame was highly contested,[1] with critics alleging that the quality of the initial research supporting its safety was inadequate and flawed and that conflicts of interest marred the approval of aspartame.[2][3][4] In 1987, the U.S. Government Accountability Office concluded that the food additive approval process had been followed properly for aspartame.[2][5] In spite of this, critics such as activist Betty Martini[6] have promoted undocumented claims that numerous health risks (such as multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus, methanol toxicity, blindness, spasms, shooting pains, seizures, headaches, depression, anxiety, memory loss, birth defects and death[7]) are associated with the consumption of aspartame in normal doses. These health risk claims have been examined and debunked by numerous scientific research projects, and are also generally dismissed by governments and major health and food safety organizations.[2][8][9]
Publicity of this controversy has been spread through an elaborate health scare[10] and "Internet smear campaign"[11] involving hoax[10][11][12] e-mails repeating Betty Martini's widely circulatedconspiracy theory. Her undocumented claims are still repeated by thousands of self-published Web sites.
Aspartame has been found to be safe for human consumption by more than ninety countries worldwide,[13][14] with FDA officials describing aspartame as "one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives the agency has ever approved" and its safety as "clear cut".[4] The weight of existing scientific evidence indicates that aspartame is safe as a non-nutritive sweetener.[8]

Ah. I know there were claims that it caused cancer, but those were debunked, it seems.

$400? Damn. Better be able to hear the mice farting within the walls of the recording studio for that much.

I was in the market for headphones after 7 years of using (different) iPod headphones. I never did get to use the new ones (Ear Pods??) that came out for the iPhone 5, but I got a pair with my GS3 and so those were a step up from those lowly iPod ones.

I have low expectations/standards for my audio experiences, but I do want to improve them. The thing is, the only time I have headphones on is when I'm flying, which is like..once every 3 months. I listen on the bus to school, but.... eh, I could use some, I guess.

A disgrace from the Serbian football fans and some of their players. But... There is no excuse for racism in this day and age and professional players should not be trying to fight on the pitch...!

And... Now... Poland...! Why have a roof on your stadium and refuse to close it when it is pissing down with rain? Looks like the match will be abandoned...!

I know racism exists in many forms and between many different groups of people, but.... I see racism as white on colored being the most popular one in the news. But European countries amongst themselves? I don't even know who the Serbs attacked, but.....why?

It isn't white on white. It's still a black thing. We (England) being a multi-national country, thanks mainly to our colonialism, have several black players in our football teams. This was the U21 teams playing. It ended up, after we scored, with several of our black players being racially abused, which then descended into violence on the pitch. One of the England players kicked the ball into the crowd after they had made monkey noises at him, which was very silly. Then it all went mental. I would say the England players were out of order, if they had been. But it was about 5 or 6 Serbian players, with the main antagonists from the bench, who were going around trying to fight the English players. The English players showed amazing restraint, I would have lost it myself. Then some of the staff ended up fighting too. Ridiculous....!

Serbia are already in trouble for previous racist behaviour. I hope they get banned for this from the next 2 tournaments, as although I feel sorry for a lot of their players who aren't moronic, the Serbian FA haven't done enough to punish their fans for their intolerant behaviour.

Racism is rampant in soccer. All over europe. Just go to youtube and you can watch hundreds of videos of the fans making monkey noises when certain players touch the ball. It's sad. Players even leave the pitch sometimes from it happening

Ah that sucks. So they torment the black players too, then? I figured it would be Europeans fighting with each other because of history from like..the 1800s. French and Germans, Serbs and whoever..... But Blacks get it there too, as well as in the US. Weird.
