The science, for the most part, has been spot on in this show, that said - is the move with the giant magnet possible? Science people, show your faces.

I googled it. And it is possible with the right magnet. But.... I am not a science geek.
I enjoyed the episode, as always, but I think they are making Walt's god complex a bit too obvious.
Using a magnet to destroy a computer? Fine, that works. But breaking into a police compound with said magnet, in a vehicle composed in large part of steel no less. What the fuck. That was a super cheese ball moment, and cheese ball moments aren't what I've come to expect from it.
Yeah. The only reason I justified it (to myself) is that I decided the magnet was directional and pointing to the side, so it wouldn't have affected the vehicle chassis, and the top half of the vehicle was made " of plywood and aluminium." I like the show, so I made excuses for it.
Yeah. The rear enclosure (cab) was aluminium and plywood. But a lot of the rest of the car is steel. But you can get directional magnets. That's how I justified the science behind it, because realism is important to me, and I don't want to like the show even a little bit less.
Yeah, I know it can destroy a computer (even though a hard-drive is not completely fucked up by it). My question was more in regards to the car's chassis, thought it would fuck with it, but since it was directional - I wasn't completely sure.
It wasn't a directional magnet. And if it can get stuff through a 2 foot reinforced concrete wall, a little bit of Al and plywood aren't going to be very useful =P. Not to mention the whole breaking into a police compound. See Pits, moments like these are why Breaking bad will never be better than The Wire.
All in all it was good entertainment. I watched Season 1-4 over the span of a month, so waiting a week for each episode is going to bust my balls =P

I could see how the magnet thing could annoy some science geeks. I have a limited understanding of a lot of it so it's pretty easy to go along with it. As long as he didn't turn his invisibility cloak on, wear a cape, or turn green and power through the guards, I can live with the science used.

So, the Mike/Walt beef is going to reach another level it seems (unless Walt somehow goes after Mike's 9). Interesting to see how this is going to go down.
Remember how Walt first shit his pants when he cooked up a batch and freaked out that he made like 35,000 in a week. Now he hits 100,000+ and he's upset. lol.
That said, the Scarface scene - foreshadowing? "Everyone dies at the end"
