Tell me what you think of it.. The American version is slightly tamed down, language wise anyway.

Love the "I need a Doctor not Tech Support" hahaa

On episode 2 now. It's funny. Slightly cheesy but the language and gestures make up for it. I laughed so hard at "she has a...dick". LOL

So Wilfred is Wilfred in both the original and the American remake? That's cool.

haha yeah.. The whole Vet thing was hilarious. Love how he thought he was going to the movies lol. Ep 3 is awesome.

Yeah same guy/dog in both. He is also the co-creator and writer. Came up with the concept while baked.

I found a link for the Australian one, both seasons/series. Are the story lines very close? I'm thinking I might not bother with the US one and just marathon the Australian one.

Similar but not the same. They used some of the same scenes/dialogue.

Of the two I would suggest the Aussie one. It had alot more freedom, just be aware the production isn't as clean.

Wilfred is legendary here in Australia.. the Australian version is better mainly because of the bogan slang and the need to say "cunt" every 3rd word. But I did enjoy the American version too. This is one show where you can clearly tell the differences between Australian/American comedy, I think being a local that the Australian comedy is funnier if also not cruder.

I found the Australian one very sort of raw in its cinematic qualities. As if purposely poorly shot, which kind of takes away from the enjoyment. Also the girl isn't as hot. I'm shallow.

haha, the girl is alot more melancholy. It is darker in pretty much every sense (other than Adam/Ryan). Also pretty much everything (furniture, car, TV) is retro, like you've stepped back in time.

The American version works because it has been changed so much, I think if they tried to copy it too much it would have failed. US version left on a cliffhanger! Can't wait for Season 2.
