This debuted recently on Sky Atlantic over here in the UK, I really enjoyed it. I've read the first four books and I'm about to start the fifth and it's probably the best series of books I've read.

Anyone else a fan?

What do you mean your about to start book 5? Its not being released until at least july 12.

For sure some of the best books i've ever read. TV show was as good as it could possible be but the books are still way better. I'd recommend this series to anyone.

HBO never lets you down with the quality of its programming. BUT, I have no interest in this series mainly because it deals with fantasy shit. I need real people, real problems.

I didn't mean the 5th in the series, book 3 was split into 2 sub-books, part 1 and part 2. So if you have read up to the 4th book in the series you've technically read 5 books.

The fantasy content is minimum upto the point I'm reading, the majority of it is good ol' fashioned ass whooping with bastard swords and axes etc.

You funky euros. I've read all the books, on my first read through I thought book 4 was weaker than the first 3, but on my second and third read throughs I found it to be just as good as the first three.

Give it a chance man. Cliche's are non existant here. The series is full of child murder, murder, rape, insest, politicing, and war. Basically everything you need to make a good show.

Damn Yanks,

Yea apparently, book 4 "A Feast for Crows" is the weakest yet. I'm going to start reading it soon so i'll find out one way or another.

How many times am I going to have to say this??!!?

Brits are not Euros. We are just located in Europe. Much like the differences between people from the United States and people from Mexico. 2 countries completely separate on the same continent.

Just thought I'd mention it. :)

^You all have gross teeth, funny accents, and like soccer. That places you into the euro category :)

Aye, thats bullshit though. You'll find it weak on your first read through as the cast changes but once you read it for the second time you'll realize its equally as strong as the first three.

To me, a TV show set in another era is a cliche in itself. Boardwalk Empire gets a pass because I have a fascination with gangsters lol, but I can't look at a guy in a helmet and body armor walking around with a sword seriously. I don't care if it has child murder or not lol.

Gross teeth only exists with the poor. Much like the poor in America. My accent is cooler than yours. Think Jason Statham. I do like Football, yes. You stole the name not us.

I hear ya man, and if this lord of the rings I'd be on your side. Just spare an hour and watch the first episode, then tell us what you think.
Flip, have you watched it or read the books?

The books are some of the best I've ever read. If you like dragon age type games then you will love these books.
