It's nothing special but it's not as horrible as sofi makes it. When I go to other major cities it feels like home. It's the same atmosphere...just bigger. A lot bigger. That being said...I'll move eventually.

Damn. You don't wanna know how much a night out costs me. And I've started to drink JD and coke on the train on the way out to cheapen it up a bit. But like SOFI says, I feel naked without a drink.

^Well, for example, on Thursdays, there's a nice sports bar that has $1 wells (cheap hard alcohol like non-brand whiskey) from 9pm to midnight. So get about 5 doubles and I'm good. More than good. I'm done. Other places either have specials or someone in the group knows a bartender. If not that, then two 4lokos do the trick and that's not even $6. Also we have a policy of not buying girls drinks. It's only this summer that I started being really frugal on my nights out because I don't have a job and stopped getting scholarship money.

girls often do something called "working the bar", I'm sure keco knows and you probably do too. I'm amazed how fools always fall for it. It's obvious the second she gets the drink she's gonna make an excuse and bounce lmao.

It's been my experience that if a girl actually likes you, or say has her eye on you, then really buying a drink is not necessary and she won't be looking for one.


Sometimes when when we hang with a group with girls, and they stop spending money, they go work the bar and come back with drinks in like less than 5 minutes. And then give it to some of us guys. I feel bad for those dudes..

When I am in the US I buy the bar staff drinks. It definately works out cheaper. But we don't do it like that in the UK. People working can't take money or drinks.
