So you're grateful to be where you are now?

It's a gift-straight-up. This is God's will. And everybody that said I wasn't nothing...my whole goal is to just make them ashamed that they wrote me off like that. Because I'm 23 years old. And I might just be my mother's child, but in all reality, I'm everybody's child. You know what I'm saying? Nobody raised me; I was raised in this society. But I'm not going to use that as an excuse no more. I'm going to pull myself up by my bootstraps, and I'm going to make a change. And my change is going to make a change through the community. And through that, they gonna see what type of person I truly was. Where my heart was. This Thug Life stuff, it was just ignorance. My intentions was always in the right place. I never killed anybody, I never raped anybody, I never committed no crimes that weren't honorable-that weren't to defend myself. So that's what I'm going to show them. I'm going to show people my true intentions, and my true heart. I'm going to show them the man that my mother raised. I'm going to make them all proud.

...And then there was Puffy

I love reading stuff like this. He always had that hint of altruism. That's him at his best. It's like that Vibe interview when he was in jail, Ready to Live or whatever it was called. It justified my abiding faith that he was a valuable human being. But, also, those idealistic statements stand in direct contrast to many of his actions. I guess that's appropriate, given the paradox he was and always will be to those who earnestly try to understand him.

And don't blame Puffy. Blame Tupac. It was Tupac alone who decided to start a small-scale riot in a crowded Las Vegas casino for no good reason, and--as a lot of people believe--get himself killed in the process. Bad choices catch up to you. I wish his lofty words and altruistic ambitions could have deterred his often self-destructive actions.

"Measure a man by his actions fully." -Tupac Shakur

^^I was referring 2 Puffy saying you can't quit Thug Life ,that became 1 of the sparks for Pac out of prison. Not really blaming its just life is funny

It was also because of Mobb Deep if I remember correctly. He wanted to quit it and change his image yet they and Puffy saw that as a weakness, Pac got pissed and started dissing the shit out of them failing at his plan.
