Genoa beat Sampdoria 1-0 last night. should have been a bigger scoreline by all accounts. They look like relegation candidates now. they sold Cassano and Pazzini in January and replace them with Maccarone, Biabiany and Macheda. Macheda was awful from what i heard. I actually thought he would be a good acquisition.
Macheda is a waste. Not many Man Utd fans rate him that highly, he is young so he can improve but he lacks common sense and is lazy, he's never in the right position. He lacks the natural ability of being in the right place at the right time. No-one knows if hes a good finisher as he never has a worthwhile shot!

great entertainment in the old firm derby tonight.

that Diouf is some twat. DPG, surely you can see throught that mans bullshit? he is just playing to the crowd. and all the fans cheering him after because he came over and threw his shirt in to them despite playing really shit and acting like a lunatic. that was laughable really. I reckon Walter Smith regrets bringing him up there.

Diouf has been decent so far for Rangers though, scored a good header against Sporting Lisbon. Diouf gets a lot of grief rightly so in some cases, but what about what Scott Brown did in the first game when he goaded Diouf after he scored?

Again..if it was the other way round the media would be going nuts. Brown is a dirty player also, all he does is kick the opposition all over the pitch.

I think he's actually quite a good player and he's done well so far.

Was good to see a bit of hatred returning last night. The past few games have been lacking it.

Bluff. thats all i saw from Diouf last night and in the other old firm derby he played. his performance was poor and he disgraced his team, but he tried to cover it up with all his bravado and playing to the crowd. i dont really care how he gets on against the other teams up there because its such a low standard.

fact of the matter is, he isnt a good player. managed 3 goals at Liverpool and brought shame to the red shirt, more than anything else and it was embarassing that a player like that was brought to Liverpool. yea there may have been worse players ability wise, but if i had to pick the worst player that i ever saw playing for Liverpool he would take the prize. what did he do after that? he played maybe one good season at Bolton and was shit at both Blackburn and Sunderland. as soon as Allardyce went, Blackburn booted him out the door.

i actually think Walter Smith regrets brining him up there. an extremely bad character to have in any dressing room

From what i've heard he's very well liked by the rest of the players.

And you say it doesn't matter about what he does against the other teams but it's those games that win you the league.

Did you not hear.... The owl died.

; )

Diouff was awesome at the world cup, and in his first few games at Liverpool. Then his dad died and he became a bit of a prick and his football never reached those heights again.

well they are hardly gonna say they hate him. and at Liverpool most of other players couldnt stand him.

thats true, but what im saying is, i dont really care how well he performs against St Mirren, the fact is throughout his career playing at a higher level he has been pretty shit imo. and bare in mind that when he came to liverpool he had a big reputation and was being billed as a star for the future.

Off the field everyone says how much of a nice guy he is. I remember Martin Tyler saying how Diouf is very polite and humble off the pitch. Just a maniac on it. His lack of goals over his career is an issue but he's not really played as a striker unless its for his NT, I think he is an asset for Rangers, the fans love a cult hero and he sure is one.

He had more than one good season at Bolton, the fans love him there. He was awful at Sunderland and average at Blackburn.

I still think the Brown incident was pretty ridiculous when he goaded Diouf after he scored, from what I've seen, the players and the management of Celtic seemed to of targeted Diouf. Then when Diouf retaliates its all OMG WHAT A DISGRACE.

Neil Lennon is a faggot also. Neil Warnock also.

Italian Serie C. Notice at the beginning of the vid that there is a player in red laying down injured and that a player in white kicks the ball out assuming the guy was injured. The guy in red gets back up quickly, and plays a part in scoring a goal. lol. Talk about taking advantage of sportsmanship.

A bid to sign Barcelona's Lionel Messi has led to the suspension of the president of a French village side. Cédric Enjolras, the president of FC Borne, a second division team in the Haute-Loire league, made the official offer to Barcelona this week. It may have been a joke but the French Football Federation has failed to see the funny side.

Borne, who are based in a village of 400 inhabitants, were looking to add the 2009 and 2010 world player of the year to their ranks but were blocked by France's governing body. The transfer offer was intercepted by the player registration office of the FFF, which refused to submit it to the Spanish FA. Although Barcelona were not exactly likely to accept the bid, they were denied the opportunity to even read it.

But the killjoys did not stop there. Enjolras has been suspended from his position for six months.

"One cannot accept such behaviour. It is perhaps a joke but we are here to judge the facts," said Yves Begon, the head of the FFF registration office.

Enjolras, bemused by the FFF's lack of proportion, explained what had happened: "To submit bids among small clubs, you need to fill out forms on the internet. I decided to register a bid so I typed the name Lionel Messi, his date of birth and his parent club into the system. Then the league transmitted the request to the federation. They were shocked by it and refused to send it to their Spanish counterparts. I have been suspended for six months, of which three are suspended. It was just a joke, to amuse friends.

"I'm going to have spend three months in the bar."

Every cloud has a silver lining.
lol.

some people really need to lighten up though.

Sevilla are looking good in La Liga as of late. Since they signed Medel and Rakitic, their midfield looks completely transformed. Good business as they didn't cost too much.
