I'm not even a hardcore gamer. I go through phases. I still couldn't bring myself to destroy a console...I'd fully expect to end up in a dumpster somewhere. I remember when we got the red ring of death on the xbox...sad times.

I got that. 10 mintues later I had replaced my x-clamps, and connected the motherboard to a re-flow station. 30 minutes later, solder was re-flowed. 30 minutes after that Xbox was together and working. But that's just how I roll.

Yup I also replaced the thermal paste on mine and added some extra cooling but still there are artifacts showing on mine. I'd have a lot of work with the GPU and still be scared to launch my console so I decided to sell it to someone else who'd be willing to fuck with it.
