Nah, it's how I truly feel.
The main thing you should get from this is that I don't treat gays any different. Their outbursts certainly annoy me, sometimes, but they are free to express themselves however.
I do agree that they drama queen/flamboyant attitude can be annoying at times, but it's no real big deal... even prominent gay rights activists like Sir Ian McKellen and Nathan Lane specifically said he always always fell into the 'conservative gay' mold where he didn't feel the need to go all out and could still affirm his homosexual, but they don't really mind the whole current movement. Then again, you're looking at people that grew up in a society where things were a straight line and quite pish-posh conservative.
It's only normal things change now as society becomes more and more liberal. For the most part though, I'm not bothered by it. We have one of the largest gay communities here in Montreal, they even have their own little part of the city which I won't lie; is pretty damn nice how it's set up lol, but people don't bother each other here and everyone pretty much hangs out with one another. I guess it all depends on where you live.

I laugh at the fact that my opinions offend you. I don't give these things much thought. But when I do, that's my honest answer.
Here's another cool thing to do, especially on the internet: sound like you're a reborn free-thinker. Everyone thinks they're open-minded and someone with more "conservative" views is "ignorant."
Let me remind you, you have not
1. proved God does/does not exist
2. proved that society would be better off without religion
3. and more recently, what causes homoness.
Despite being this prolific thinker you think you are, the man of the people, supporting every activist group of every minority, you still have no answers.
At the end of the day, religious or not, liberl or conservative or somewhere in between, no group no side, has what we all want: answers. That's why, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter to me what someone believes because they are just as stupid as the next person.
Sidenote: I still didn't go as far as saying what Woody did, despite saying I was "apathetic" towards gay rights and had an issue with them being "flamboyant," for lack of a better word. I don't hope they all die, I don't hope they never be able to marry. I just said I don't like some things about some of their ways. I'm not your Uncle Hitler here.

1. It's hard to argue with groups who when given almost conclusive proof god can't exist respond with "that's gods way".
2. Who can give this answer. No-one really knows and only the most egotistical would say they do.
3. What causes you to be fat, lazy, a criminal? No-one knows. There are theories. Could be genetic, could be upbringing, could be tramatic events. Could be all that and more. Could be none of it. If you have the answers you are egotistical, a genius, or a moron.
Maybe there are no real answers.
The thing is, these are key contemporary issues. If you don't give them much thought, yet you share your not-so-thought-about opinions on the matter, these opinions will indirectly say a lot about you as a person, your ability to reason, and where your beliefs are. Now, when I say beliefs, I don't mean the answers to life on the planet. I mean simply on the matter of gay rights, women's rights, etc. Just because you're honest, it doesn't exempt you from showing ignorance on important matters. That's where intellect and maturity are judged, and rightly so. I don't mean that you have to support gay rights. There are prominent, intelligent people who don't. But the issue is whether you can back your stance on the matter with thought-out reasons.
No shit, yet we're still 335 posts into a thread arguing the same shit. The point of "backing your shit up" was passed pages ago. I feel like I'm repeating myself now, as are people with "opposing" opinions.
I feel the same, actually. I wasn't really asking for answers because I know it's just one of those things "we'll never really know" or "fix." Sometimes I feel we still debate these issues because we feel if we don't, we're sitting by and watching it happen and it hurts our conscience. But we can only do so much in moving in one direction towards a goal, whatever that goal may be, because there is always a flip-side to the dilemma and they're gonna push back once they feel they're being ignored or violated.
Again, what I said above. I feel I think about it "enough" but still, not "a lot." I can see where giving an answer off the top of your head can offend others and give people the wrong idea about you, but if this makes sense, I don't care anymore about rights of anyone. I think some people whine and bitch too much, in the case of laws and the Constitution, they become "extremists" and take it literally or misconstrue the message. So those are my thoughts on it and at the same time I don't spend too much time worrying about whether my rights or other's rights are being "withheld" because chances are, like I said before, people can be whiny little cunts.

It was changed because a large body of empirical research clearly refutes the notion that homosexuality is a form of mental disorder or is inherently linked to psychopathology.
It's natural in that people are born with a difference in their brains for which one of the manifestations will be homosexuality. And, once again, numerous studies show that homosexuality per se does not lead to pathology. But, of course, if everyone in your life rejects and hates you for something, like left-handedness, then you will probably have a lot of problems like depression and then some people might say that left-handedness leads to pathology. But they are wrong in both cases.
I think refusing to believe that gays are born that way and believing it's a mental disorder despite all the evidence to the contrary is more likely a mental disorder itself than homosexuality ever was.
Okay I understand all of that and it's probably pointless to discuss that any further here. My only point is that logically it's pretty weird to most heterosexual people. The main mission of the mankind seems to be actually impregnating and giving birth to children to continue our kind. Homosexuality abuses that. I know that some people just prefer not to have children but it's a different thing because it's their choice and not a need to have sex with a person of the same sex.
I'm also aware that people who spend a bigger part of their lives thinking about this came to different conclusions but to me it "seems" to be a disorder and I can't force myself into thinking that it's normal and not disgusting. Just like chopping off your balls seems weird and disgusting. I.E. A girl who makes out with other girls at bars. Is she a lesbian? Not necessarily.. but would she fall closer to the lesbian side of the grid than a girl who finds other girls attractive but wouldn't touch them sexually? Probably.
I just don't think it's as simple as straight, bi and homosexual and I think there's such a stigma placed on these categories that people feel as if they have to be one or the other with no in-betweens.

For those of you who watch True Blood, Lafayette's character is quite masculine even though he's gay, wears make-up, etc. I know, he's a character on TV but I feel as if it's a good example and better than say, me referencing a friend.

i have no problem with gays as long as they are not hitting on me but even then ill just tell them to piss off. i wouldnt get aggressive or anything like that.
