Time Traveler Captured In Museum Photograph - TimeTravel - Gizmodo

500x_201004161615.jpg

When you look at most of the two dozen or so people in this photograph, which belongs to a Canadian museum, there's no doubt that they're from 1940, the year in which it was taken. But what about that guy?

Those funky sunglasses? That stamped t-shirt and hippie shawl? The doofy, disinterested expression? He sure as hell doesn't look like any Roosevelt-era bro I have ever seen. Maybe that's just it—he looks like a "bro," which we all know didn't come into existence until the 1970s, at the earliest.

Forgetomori has an extensive analysis of the photo and the mystery man, and, with some help from members of ATS, points out that no single item of his wardrobe is technically out of period.

But his entire essence, especially in contrast to the sea of fedoras and 1940s enthusiasm around him, screams that he's from another era entirely. Sorry, time travel bro, you've been spotted.

Damn, one of the few times I didn't have time to properly change for my travels, and I get photographed. If I remember right, I think I also had an updated equivalent of an Ipod in my ear (EaRPOD) at the time.

Does anyone on here believe in the possibility of time travel?

Yeah, I do it all the time. I set a 'special' clock to the desired time, lay on an apparatus called a mattress, close my eyes and BOOM - I'm in the future.

Side effects include - urination, dry mouth, muscle aches, sweating, erection, manifestation of subconscious, drowsiness, increased appetite and irritation.

If I believe there is a possibility of time travel, it would only be the ability to go back in time. Time travel into the future would all ways be impossible due to event having not happened.

Theoretically it's possible if you can travel faster than the speed of light according to Einstein but also in theory no object can go faster than the speed of light.

So it's possible but impossible.

Whats S14 said. Thats because that future has happened, so it no longer becomes the future, just part of the Paradox.

Its like I was saying to my brother about Terminator movies. John Conners whole existence is a Paradox. For him to have sent his father back in time to become his father, it means that has all ready happened and becomes part of an endless cycle.

But if they are here then the future did indeed happen..

Thats my point exactly. So we should be able to travel into the future.... as it has already happened.

(I was just trying to reason out the argument... not say weather its possible or not)

So by that reasoning, everything that can happen, has happened. So we should be able to travel forward and backward in time (technically)?

Limme explain it this way.

Its 2010, I travel back to the Past (events that have happened) 1996 or whatever and then want to go back to 2010. Im not traveling to the future, i'm travel to the Present (events that are happening now). If i was to travel from 2010, back to 1996 and then try and travel to 2011, it wouldn't be possible because in all realities of the Paradox, 2011 hasn't happened, because 2011 is the Future (events that haven't happened).
