BMW vs. Mercedes-Benz

I'm planning to buy one of those in a future. I could use some suggestion which one is "better" and why?
Maybe there are some owners to that could share some thought

they both have completely different rides... the bmw rides more like a sports car with tight suspension, and the benz rides more like a luxury sedan- not to say that it doesnt go fast as fuck too. for the most part id say its personal preference. theyre both really good cars, both from germany, and both top of the line. you gotta decide if you want something more sporty or luxurious.

I'd go with the BMW.

Either way, paying so much for a car is like paying for pussy.

If you really need a German car I'd go for Audi.

Here mostly village people drive BMWs and Mercedes these days - usually 10 year old and so. It just screams "look at me, I have a BMW!".
That's probably because they are really cheap here thanks to the German boarder so everyone who wants to feel cooler than he is and wants to buy a cheap car goes for them.
But they are utterly overrated worldwide. The only thing I like about them is that they are comfortable.

However personally I'd rather get a Honda, Suzuki, Toyota (well, maybe not right now), Nissan. Great engines, reliable, economical.

Hyundai has #1 customer satisfaction, they make great cars now. The Genesis Coupe is an incredible car for instance, and sporty. The 2010 (or was it 2011) Tucson looks great also for an SUV ... and i generally hate SUVs.

It's impossible to tell whether BMW or Benz is "better". Depends on the segment you're looking in, the models you're looking at and your personal preferences.

I'm seriously considering getting an old school big body benz though. Old beemers are terrible but I love the old benzes. Like a 70's two door big body sl or something.
