OK so, the 'wireless' part of my wireless router has decided to die on me (Thank God my X-Box is hardwired so MW2 is not compromised)

Can any recommend a good wireless router, preferably one you have had experience with?

Ive read CNET and other consumer reviews but I'd to get some other opinions too...

I have wireless-n capabilities on my laptop etc.. is it worth the extra $$??

Thanking you kindly :)

It depends. What was your signal strength like with your old router? How far away is your xbox from your router?

It was pretty good. I got the full strength I was meant to be getting..

The Xbox is hard wired so I have no issues there and my laptop is probably 20ft away...

The main problem I had was with dropped wireless sometimes.. It was a Belkin router which seemed to get worse over time..

how long had you the router?

i have a netopia router. I got the one i have now about a year ago. i had the exact same one before it but it got fried by a lightning stike. That one lasted about 3 years.

Netgear are really decent for their price. I've never seen a faulty one. I've never had a problem with mine and it's online since over 15 months.
