Yeah I just wanted to let you know that those companies you had mentioned are using Google's OS now.

There's some confusion in some cases about what role Google plays...they aren't a hardware company, they have partnerships with most of the big hardware companies and those companies use Google's software on the products they make.

Similar to how you can get a PC made by any number of well known manufacturers but they'll all be running Windows.

Google was smart to make that move, it's why their market share is increasing at the expense of RIM and Apple, who only run their own software on their own hardware.

And yeah I agree that over the top carrier branding can be somewhat annoying.
