Deathrow East

I always wondered if this project was going to be a successful one. From what I understood 2pac would have had a say on which artists would be signed on to the label. As for the business side of it I've not got the slightest idea.

Brings in even more questions about 2pac's desire to leave Death-row. When he was with the people holding the D.R east placards, how far was it from September 1996?

It was only a few days before he got shot.

These were just plans. I don't think the Wu would leave their label.
They could sign BCC but I guess that they already had their own label at that time?
Except that it would be a brand full of no names I guess.

Well at the time Death Row was the biggest selling record label around. Many artists would have jumped at the idea of joining the label at that time. Especially if it ment having Pac, Snoop, and Tha Pound on their records. One can only imagine wat would have happened if Pac hadn't died and Death Row wouldn't have failed so miserably!

was makaveli records gonna affiliated with deathrow/deathrow east?

Both Makaveli Records and Death Row East were gonna be subsidiaries of Death Row Records. Both would put out their records under their own name and still have Death Row Records as the main parent company. Same as how Shady Records and G Unit are subsidiaries of Aftermath Records. Snoop was also gonna have his own label on death row called Doggiestyle Records which of course never got off the ground either.
