I thought a thread would have been made about this movie by now? I guess there is not much interest behind it :(

I'm really looking forward to watching it. Not that I'm expecting to be blown away. Seeing what his vision was for his upcoming concerts is good enough for me.

Even more interesting will be the box office sales for this. I think it will be the first movie to top the box office before the movie has even been released :D ..........If the regulations allow of course.

According to Wikipedia, The film's release date is scheduled for October 28, 2009. A worldwide theatrical release date will be on October 30, 2009 with a limited two-week run. Tickets will go on sale a month early, on September 27, 2009 to satisfy a high anticipated demand.

In case any of you go out there to buy the ticket, keep me updated on this thread. Thanks.

I'm already trying to get tickets. Trying to find out if the IMAX here is gonna show it. But I might also be in the states when it comes out, I'm not sure yet. But yeah......this will be hard for me to watch but I have to see it.

I agree, I don't really want to see it seeing as I was looking forward to actually being at his concert on July 18th. But..eh I've tried to not listen to any MJ news since his passing so I don't really know much about this.

same here.. it was just too sad to watch.
I had tickets for the show on the 27th.

The cool thing about MJ was his creative side, which I hope to see in this movie. If it was just a concert I dont think I would go. I want to see the 'raw-er' side if you know what I mean... like when he's trying new ideas.

I need to wait until my plane ticket to the US is booked which will hopefully be next week. Then I'll get the MJ tickets sorted and I'll see it in the US.

Great to hear that. Kinda feels like the release date is still a long way to go.

I haven't seen any mention of it on IMAX but I'll keep my eyes open just in case.

I've got my ticket booked for the 28th of next month. Looking forward to it.
Did you buy your ticket online or did you physically go to the cinema box office?

You mean tickets for the actual concert? If so, did you return it for a refund or did you keep it as a collector's item?

I know its not a good idea to make a judgement from a trailer but, it seems like the green screen work they had going for 'thriller' was going to be something ground breaking.

Doesn't seem like they'll be a riot for tickets in Kenya, I guess the tickets will be sold during screenings only. Until further notice of course. The release date here is marked for the 29th of October.

Latest reports say that 3,000 preview tickets/advance screenings tickets were sold out in two hours.

Damn, that's some quick selling.
Nothing like when people signed up for the tickets to see his memorial in California.
Some-odd million people signed up for that, remember that?

And I think the next 4 weeks will go by quickly and before u know it, it'll be end of Oct.

I had 4 tickets to the concert in London. The tickets hadnt actually been issued when he died so I got the full refund. I didnt want to collector stuff cos they were charging full price for it! There was no way I was paying 400 pounds + for 4 pieces of paper just so the promoter can have it.

I dont mind paying for the movie though as at least I get to see something.

I dont even care if the movie doesnt have full song performances... I just want to see MJ experiment :)

Oh yeah, that was a lot of people. I remember watching that on TV and seeing how some people couldn't believe they were getting tickets for the memorial. I even saw some news channels giving tickets to people just hanging around. One lady even started shaking when she was holding the ticket in her hand :D

Bring on the end of October!!

Heehee......for some reason the only part of Africa that is considered as part of the 'World' is South Africa. Great country though, I loved living there :D I'll wait and see if my country will get its own web-page.

I see. I always thought people already had the tickets with them and were just waiting for the show to start. You wanted to go for 4 shows or were you having company with you for one show?

I'm on the facebook page of the movie. There is some unconfirmed talk of it having the rehearsal footage, followed by full performances of a number of unlisted tracks. Possible tracks are: human nature, billie jean, man in the mirror, smooth criminal, beat it and bad.

Most of you have seen this but I thought I'd post this up. It has to be longest TV ad for a concert that I've ever seen.

A lot of that footage was from the HIStory tour, which I saw myself, in London. I feel incredibly lucky to have seen Michael live. It was one of the best days of my life.
