pure classic.
i can go thru the entire album without skipping. i probably enjoyed the most hated track on the album(that i read on 2pacforum befo it got hacked), temptations. 2pac destroyed every damn instrumental.
me against the world is by far and away 2pac's best album. it's his only classic and one of the greatest albums of all time. one of the best examples of cohesiveness over the length of a full album, maintaining momentum throughout and not letting up at all. such a diverse array of emotions, and more than any of his other work it is most representative of his troubled state of mind and the contradictions apparent throughout his career. suprisingly, it probably hasn't aged as well as a lot of other albums from that period and in particular compared to AEOM and 7DT.
"young niggas" is one of my favorite songs ever and probably the most underappreciated from that album.
Police. Killers with guns. Losing friends (death or disagreement). Witnessing continuous killing. Constant criticism from media and people who don't know him. Suicidal thoughts. The plight of the youth. No time to take it easy even with millions in the bank. Everyone around him dying but he's still alive. Knowing he will be dead soon. No trust for strangers hence the difficulty in making new friends. I think this is what 2pac's referred to as 'the world'.
What made 2pac a stronger character was the message of encouragement for those other people going through the torment of everyday life.
"That's right. I know it seem hard sometimes but remember one thing. Through every dark night, there's a bright day after that. So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out, keep your head up, and handle it"
'The world' to us is what we go through everyday. The world is what makes us feel like the stress is too much to handle. 2pac wanted us to move on, that's why it was 'me against the world'. He went through the hardships, we are the ones to keep moving on. Indeed we are.
heavy in the game, if i die tonight and so many tears are the gems of this album

And obviously the title track...
I totally disagree. Even if you like it more you can't say that it's that much better than Makaveli or AEOM - actually I think they were better and definately all 3 are classic. They all haven't aged that much and still Makaveli seems more 'fresh' than Me against the world.
Also there's that argument of which one is more sentimental and touching. I think Makaveli with "Krazy" and "White Man's world" is way more deep than anything on Me against the world which is still way more deep than 99% hip-hop albums anyway.
All Eyez on me is a different kind of album so it's hard to compare. It also had "Holla at me" and "I ain't mad atcha" but people failed to pay attention to specific tracks simply because there were too many other great songs on that album.
