Just back from a 2 week holiday, hence the reason i haven't posted.

Just a few quick points:

Holland, Argentina, Germany, Brazil and Spain all look very strong. I'm still backing Germany to win it though.

Portugal were absolutely shit, aside from beating N Korea. There performance against Spain was embarassing for a nation who produces supposedly 'attacking' players.

England ? I'm guessing they've been talked about in great detail but can't be fucked looking through the posts. They were terrible. IMO they should be looking to bring through young players now and concentrate on the 2014 WC and not the 2012 Euros.

Anyone who supports a random country over their own is an idiot IMO.

I have no problem supporting other teams/countries when your own isn't playing (e.g i always cheer the Dutch on but would never support them over Scotland) but anything else is ridiculous.

exactly. you cant really support a country that you have no connection with

as you said its fair enough as a neutral to have a preference or like another country's team but you are never a supporter of them

The Argentina v Germany game is hard to call.

I reckon Holland will knock Brazil out tomorrow, Robben and RVP to score in a 2-1 win.

Also reckon Germany-Argentina will see atleast 1 man sent off, remember the game in 2006

If the Dutch step up - they can beat Brasil. It's going to be close though. It can go either way, and I think most Brasilians also know that the Dutch are not a pushover.

Tomorrow at this time I'm either gutted or elated.

What do you guys think? I know it's very hard to call, but if you have to hazard a guess.

Brazil have only lost once in 2 years. And that was in Bolivia at altitude. The same Bolivia who thrashed Argentina 6-1. I am still going with Brazil to win the world cup whoever they encounter. They are a solid, organised team, with some superb individual players.

But this is football.


Germany to convinvingly beat Argentina.


Ghana to win the tournament....!


On a side note - If England got beaten 6-1 in Bolivia, the press and fans would call for the managers resignation, and the FA would probably succumb.

Attacking football with a defense savvy coach is never going to work. How were we shit? We def. missed a top line striker as has been our story for a while. But we lost one game.. by one goal. England, France, Italy and other top nations played MUCH MUCH worse.

I'm thinking Euro 2012/World Cup 2014 we'll have a younger team.. hopefully something like this

well Lahm for example spoke of Argentina in a very arrogant manner and said something along the lines that he didnt know how the Argentinians would react when they get beaten again.

also, there is no need for the constant digs thrown at the England team. fair enough they were shite but you dont need to keep sticking the knife in either.

^ I think its mainly the English press asking them questions on the matter though, so they reply then it seems the Germans are still talking crap.

Also, why do Portugal not produce strikers? Pauleta was the last one but he failed in every major tournament.
