I'm mad as hell... the fucking companies copyrighted everything...

I wanted to watch the 2nd season of That '70s show and the fucking twats deleted the videos because the Casey-Warner company asked them to take it off...

now what's left on youtube is a bunch of fucking twats doing impresionations, taking pictures of them for 6 years and making a video about it, singing and piano-playing cats, stupid babies and idiotic kids...

Fuck youtube.com!

who's with me?

if you owned the rights to that 70's show, put a lot of time and effort into creating the show, producing it, and that show plus the sales from the dvds put food on your table, would you still be mad?

and the show was copyrighted long before youtube came along so it is pirated material being on there with out the permition of the people who own the rights to the show

We don't care. We want to watch it for free.

I'm sure they made a nice amount with the show and DVD sales to spend on Hollywood cocaine binges anyways.

i wish these companies could come to an agreement... we need a place to watch low quality tv shows... if we want high quality then we should pay for the DVDs... word?

Youtube IS going crazy with the deletion of videos I have noticed. I've had a few videos of my own delted and about 200 or more in my favorites section are gone as well and as well as some of my subscriptions have had their accounts deleted. Youtube is going a little crazy as of the past few weeks. It sucks.

The whole damn point of youtube is (now it's was) that it's free and that you don't have to download an episode or a videoclip on torrents or P2Ps so you can watch it...
Besides it's really low quality... I'm going to buy the 70's show DVDs anyways.

My point is that Youtube are deleting EVERYTHING on their site and that only idiotic videos like these : (its a singing turtle if you are too lazy to click) end up on there... Plus some really uninteresting videos are uploaded there and they put every god damn thing in there as a fucking tag so you HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE to see their unfunny improvisation of Martin Lawrence.

but you would care if you created the show. put yourself in their shoes

No, I would not. I'm not a greedy bastard. If I made say, hypothetically, 4 MIL$, I would not get my panties in a twist because I'm losing day another 2 MIL$ over my shit on Youtube.

everything i wanna watch is owned by viacom. someone told me viacom are gonna put their own site up. thatll be my favorite site ever

Nothing is free. Get used to it.

wait, has no one hear heard of torrents??? what happened to those?? i just searched demonoid and i just found one torrent that contained seasons 1-8 in tv quality... go there and dl it and quit bitching... 40 gigs might be a kicker though... 6 seeders and 57 leechers... it shouldnt be too slow...

^Of course people have heard of torrents. But people just wanting to watch a show and not DL it those dont work. Plus there are several legal issues when using those. Piratebay.org is actually looking into buying their own island where file sharing and all that shit wouldnt be illegal, they still arnet even sure that would work. But yeah things could be free but that is illegal, really doesnt stop anyone anyway.

The video on YouTube that shows the space shuttle rocket boosters returning to the surface was simpily amazing to watch. At first you hear very little noise because the pressure is so low, this was, in a sense, "dark, cold, scary" to me. The end when the booster crashes into the ocean felt much like home. The part where the sky turns from black to blue was so awsome I had to watch it three times. It's far more entertaining than the TV shows.

the idea with youtube was never to be able to watch whatever you wanted anyway. the idea was to share video. i never go to youtube if i need an episode of a series. i go to youtube when i want to find funny videos, music videos, interviews, whatever. use www.alluc.org instead for tv shows. or use torrent to download them. everyone who don't use torrents should take the time to learn how to. it's half an hour out of your day and it will reinvent your piracy life. and it is not slow, that's because you are getting your torrents in the wrong place.

Thank you for being the only sane person in this thread aside from me....and maybe that other guy.

yeah i dont have engouh space left n my computer for that...

I know about torrents, but with them you have to wait for ages until you get it and I have a monthly limit of downloads (20 gigs)

The whole idea of youtube was that you dont have to wait days before you can watch something you want.

I noticed the other week when I was tryin to watch a Nas video that it was taken down.. Kinda shitty but its not the end of the world..

Side note: I bought season 1 of That 70's Show, a series like that is worth getting on DVD anyway.

the idea was a website where users distributed the content. i guess we can get semantical, but every time a website becomes popular on a global scale, a no-piracy policy sort of automatically follows. i don't know how they advertised the concept to begin with, but you didn't expect free video streaming of virtually everything to last forever, did you? :)

i'm familiar with the download limit thing. i used to have it too a few years back. no chance you can switch to a different isp? i'm using the norwegian equivalent to AOL and even they don't have those limitations still.

also, while the video files aren't as large, you still have to download on youtube. i guess the video files are only like a tenth of their original size though. at least you're not coming out of this any worse than before you even knew what youtube was :)
