Smooth production like Little Brother, Gangstarr, ATCQ, and acts like that really appeal to me. But I'd have to say East Coast because they normally come out with the most lyrical stuff (not saying West Coast and Down South artists don't).

Horror + hardcore.
Artists like Geto Boys (only some of their shit), Brotha Lynch Hung, Necro, Gravediggaz, Esham etc.

Basically rhymes about gory shit.

Esham calls his shit Acid Rap, Necro Death Rap and Brotha Lynch Hung siccmade, sicc shit whatever.

i dont prefer a certain type of rap, I stick with the lyrics, flow and beat combination.
But if i had to chose one, that I like better I would stay with the WestCoast style, the WC beats style stands out for me...

I really like groovy, smooth or G-Funk beats.
