Rapper Young MC has filed a lawsuit against a publishing company he claims has failed to pay him royalties on two hit songs he wrote for Tone Loc.

Fresh from his stint on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, the "Bust A Move" performer, born Marvin Young, says he paid Varry White Music $500 in 1988 to collect royalties on his behalf as part of a contract signed with the company.

Young’s lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Federal Court, alleges the company has failed to provide an accurate account of royalties from the Tone Loc songs he penned: "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina."

Both tracks have been used numerous times in commercials and films.

Young, who also claims that Varry White refused to allow an independent audit of its records earlier this year, is seeking unspecified punitive and compensatory damages.
