Batista, JBL might swap shows

April 24, 2005

BY BLACKJACK BROWN

As was announced Monday by Vince McMahon, the WWE will hold its second annual draft lottery in a few weeks. What Vince didn't announce was the strong backstage rumor that the WWE hasn't been thrilled with the feud between Batista and HHH and that the new champ could be on his way to SmackDown in a blockbuster trade.

Batista is way over with the fans, has drawn big crowds and put on top-quality matches. But really, where do Batista and HHH have to go from here? Moving Batista to SmackDown immediately would give the Thursday show a ratings boost and would set in motion a series of feuds with Kurt Angle, Big Show, Mysterio and John Cena.

The word is that JBL could be the man on his way to Raw in a trade. His act might play better on Raw, and the Monday night crew could use a new headline-quality heel.

AROUND THE RING: Hulk Hogan's match at Backlash is his last in the WWE -- for now. Of course, it is extremely likely that the Hulkster will be back again, but for the moment the WWE and Hogan are taking things one match at a time. ... Some in the WWE are concerned Chris Jericho might not re-sign when his contract expires.

I know some people like them, but does anyone else think that Batista & JBL are talentless fucks?

I mean, you can appreciate the entertainment value of them, but their wrestling skills are about as sophisticated as hitting a crack whore prostitute in a back alley raw.....

See, I disagree there. As an Acolyte - particularly when they went into the A.P.A storyline - I thought Bradshaw fit the character well. I mean, who expects beer-swilling idiots to be able to wrestle? Not me, & apparently not Stone Cold fans either. In this respect, I liked him.

But now he's 'sober', it hurts to see how piss poor he is.

Bradshaw as champ was a joke, Shit they should flip it round and give Rey Mysterio the title at next years Wrestlemania, would be good to see a midget win the title :p

Batista...hmm doesn't appeal to me as a star, Id rather have HHH as champ and wait until a good face comes along.

Well, I can see that Batista has the physique to be the champ but really, the physique was never the main thing (look at Hogan, Stone Cold etc) charisma is. And when you don't have much charisma, you can still be accepted as champ as long as you show wrestling ability.

Unfortunately, Batista lacks both charisma & wrestling ability....badly.

John Cena, is matches are not great, but he has the charisma to be champ :thumb:

Still Kurt Angle has the total package right now.

Don't like Cena. His character bugs me - both in the way of his promos & of his wrestling style.

Angle is the man for sure. He's got the charism, ability & physique.

JBL and HHH on the same show? PINCH ME!!!11

They can't move Batista to Smackdown while he's champion. Unless he's already lost it, I haven't seen any WWE product post-Mania.

i don't like this move, and why isn't stone cold steve austin doing anything?
Because he's a broken down shell of a man. He can't wrestle (physically, I mean).

JBL has charisma (don't deny it, he plays the character perfectly), but he lacks any kind of in-ring ability. Plus he's an asshole IRL.

Batista will probably lose the title at Backlash to HHH.

That Will Fuckin Suck. HHH is A Bitch

Batista Has Talent, He's An Animal. JBL is The One Who Sucks.
HHH An His Bullshit Polictics Backstage. I Hope He Gets His One Day.

WWE is Not Giving This Young Talent Any Chance. Orton, Now Batista. You Would Think Them Harvard Graduates They Call "Writers". Could Come Up With Ideas To Make These Wrestlers Better With Their Characters

Whats Sad Is By 2007-08 HHH Will Be Known As The 20 Time Champion. (Loser). He'll Be Sittin Pretty As Long As He Gives Vince A Grand Child.

Incase you didn't noticed, Batista can't wrestle & HHH can.
He's hardly Chris Benoit. He has a miniscule moveset and only really delivers in bloody brawls a la the Wrestlemania main event. He's not exactly leaps and bounds ahead of Batista, who at least has size and strength going for him.
