Fashion has it's importance depending on your position of power. You wouldn't dress like an utter slob if you were a CEO of a major corporation now would you? Like it or not, this is a superficial world and you will be judged by the way you look.
You know, I can sense some sexual frustration in that post.
Anyway, food for thought:
"Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months." - Oscar Wilde
and yes, it's in my facebook quotes. It helps if people ever try to question my fashion.

You wouldn't be taken serious if you'd walk around your office in a Yankees tee and bermuda shorts
Even as a CEO you can't dress how the fuck you when you go to work, you have to still look clean and sophisticated.
Actually no, as CEO, you determine how you want your employees to dress. For example, Microsoft doesn't have a "professional attire" dress code and allows employees to wear Hawaiian shirts and the like. Why? The job's stressful enough, let's have our people at least feel relaxed in their clothes.
I don't know if it's just me but I don't care at all about clothes unless someone's dressed gay or dirty.
When I see someone dressed in a 10k suit it doesn't impress me at all. If someone's a CEO or works in an office he can dress in whatever he wants to and it wouldn't change a thing. In my opinion, like Chronic said, clothes are for covering your body and it's irritating how some people made it into something bigger. I like to dress well myself but that's mostly because I want to "fit in" the environment, look clean and feel comfortable. Sure I feel well in a nice suit but that's what the society made me do, after a while I realise how stupid it is. Also if it comes to respect - I have no idea how some people link clothes to how respected you are but definately you'll get the same respect from me, no matter how dressed you are. Of course I like people to be clean but if you dress nice in a cheap shop or wear branded clothes - I wouldn't care. Some people like expensive clothes and feel better in them and that's okay, but that doesn't change a thing for me untill they act the same.
Goodnight
The whole rebellious ''I'm free I can do whatever I want'' attitude is getting a bit out of hand.
I'm sorry but you can't just say 'clothes are made for covering your body' and wear something funny like begging pants in a graduation party because it makes you fell comfortable or something. Nor can a CEO wear shorts and tin top going to the work in his office. Thats just ridiculous and I bet you're just saying that and you wouldn't wear something funny in certain places.
Look at the brains on Dani... what you are saying is right; you can determine how you want your employees to dress, but that doesn't mean you follow it yourself. Believe me, I've seen it, it's quite entertaining seeing an office of people wearing dirty sneakers and seeing a man with a 3000$ Hugo Boss suit pass by. lol.
By the way, where's your basketball team in the Olympics?
Well no shit.I agree. If I owned a company that was based in an office I would enforce a strict dress code, it is a respect thing. Plus, if you wear shorts and a T and feel relaxed, productivity will go down.
What I fucking can not stand, is people wearing either too casual or girls in too slutty clothes at church. It is a respect thing in my eyes.
Again, no shit. I'm not saying being a CEO is an excuse for dressing like a bumb. But if I own a company and I feel like coming to work in a tee and shorts I can and I will. What the fuck is anyone gonna say to you? You own the company and control their income. The "I'll wear whatever I want" rebellion is stupid; it is about showing respect to yourself and others around you based on where you are. I wouldnt wear a suit to a basketball game but I wouldnt wear a basketball jersey to a wedding or work environment.
I don't agree. It doesnt matter how good you are, performance has nothing to do with fashion. It's like saying that Jordan could have worn boxer shorts on the court if he wanted to because he was "infinitely better" than everyone else.Thats cool an all. But when your infintley better at your job than everyone around you, you can wear whatever you feel like. Thats what I'm saying.
