The pro-wrestler suing Jay-Z for copyright infringement over his diamond hand sign was given permission by a federal judge to add the rap mogul’s Rocawear clothing line to his lawsuit.

Rocawear owners Roc Apparel Group LLC, Urban Menswear LLC and Rocawear Licensing LLC are now part of the trademark and copyright infringement suit filed by professional wrestler Diamond Dallas Page, who claimed in his Dec. 2, 2005 lawsuit that Jigga illegally adopted Page's trademark hand gesture – the "Diamond Cutter" – as his own.

Page is seeking an injunction (meaning Jay-Z would be prohibited from using the gesture) and unspecified monetary damages.

Earlier this year, Page found out that Jay-Z’s Rocawear clothing line also displayed the diamond cutter symbol, which prompted the request that the label be a part of the lawsuit.

Page adopted the sign in 1996 to promote his persona for World Championship Wrestling. He is currently shooting the movie Gallow Walker in South Africa with Wesley Snipes.

lol well if that guy would have been smart enough to have it copyrighted he probably would try it  but seriously, while it does sound a bit ridiculous to sue someone over a hand gesture, Page had the symbol copyrighted and Jay used it (whether or not he knew there was a copyright i don't know, but i'll assume he didn't) so he has the legal right to sue since Jay is making a profit using the symbol.
