I think Netherlands and Spain should be a pretty epic match. Both flow the ball quite well. Both are pretty strong in defense. RVP really has to get his head out of his ass though. He can't expect Robben, Kuyt and Sneijder to do everything themselves. Stekelenburg is also still a bit too shaky for my taste lately.

I'm expecting a great match up though.

This was "that" World Cup for me, everything about it was great and epic, I had German friends and family fly in we went to watch all the games at the German club, my girlfriend is German. We all had so much hope invested in it.

To be honest I think we lost because of Loew. I think there were a lot of poor coaching decisions made from the start of the game. Playing Trochowski was a mistake and slowing the game down so much was a mistake. Straight away from kick off Germany were defensive almost as if they were playing for penalties.

Then as soon as they got desperate and Jensen and Kroos came on they played much better. Jensen and Kroos created opportunities that Trochowski just couldnt. Really, we needed Mueller and Trochowski was not the right replacement.

We should have gone out attacking like we did against England. It would have been a much different game if Spain was on the defensive more.

i dont think loew was to blame.... spain dominated possession not because germany let them, they took the ball and didint let it go....

I thought germany was gonna rip through the tournament straight through the final, beating england and argentina wasn't easy, but then again those two teams were doomed since day 1....

I think it is pretty hard to counter against the spanish. They get hold of the ball and caress it for 70 odd passes. Then they get it back again.

The biggest mistake Loew made was taking Boateng off. I believe he may have been assigned to mark Puyol at corners. and when he went off, no-one picked up Puyol.
