World Cup 2010

That's sort of funny cus I'd choose "The Immigrants" over the other guys any day, excluding Reveillere maybe lol

Lloris is the pretty much in the top 5 best goalkeepers in the world, Gourcuff is the most promising French player in my opinion. Toulalan is stupid at times though. Reveillere is good.

I love Henry while Anelka is the biggest piece of street crap you can find. He thinks he's 2pac... Gallas is a piece of human shit and Ribery is a scarfaced criminal pedophile.

Depends what kind of team you want... If you want a team like 2004 Detroit Pistons, go with Gourcuff, Toulalan, Lloris... If you want the 2002 Jail Blazers, go with Gallas, Ribery and Anelka.

^LOL. I like Paraguay though, I enjoyed watching them in the qualifiers.

I don't see the big deal in Hamsik.

He's epic if you watch him in the Serie A. Napoli fans practically worship him and Lavezzi. He usually plays right behind the striker. He has a good shot and is creative. I didn't get to watch today's match, but I know in the first group game Vladimír Weiss didn't play him in his usual position. I dunno where he was today. Weiss in general, even in the qualifications never plays him there he needs to be. Who knows though, it's maybe just not his tournament; he has time though.

He played him more on the left side last match...

Also, fuck Italy. Fuck their diving mothers.

I hope the Kiwis start throwing their elbows around even more now.

Come on Italy. hope they bang in a few in the second half.

that Italy team is just too old. half of them look past it now.

and of course their most talented footballer was left at home out of pure stubborness

And the headlines keep on coming...

French imploding as players refuse to practice
Dispute between manager and trainer sends team back to the bus

The Associated Press

A day after a player was sent home for insulting the coach, France team director Jean-Louis Valentin said the World Cup team is refusing to train following a dispute on the practice field.

Valentin also said he has resigned from the French football federation, saying he was fed up.

"It's a scandal for the French, for the young people here. It's a scandal for the federation and the French team," Valentin said. "They don't want to train. It's unacceptable.

"As for me, it's over. I'm leaving the federation. I'm sickened and disgusted," said Valentin, who walked away from the training field, got into a car and drove off.

The latest chaotic scene follows Saturday's trouble when striker Nicolas Anelka was banished for insulting coach Raymond Domenech, whose tactics and management skills have been called into question.

The team arrived at training Sunday, but a few minutes after taking the field, fitness coach Robert Duverne stormed away following an argument with Domenech. Duverne threw his accreditation badge to the ground after a heated discussion and walked away.

The players then boarded the team bus.

In their first two matches at the World Cup, France drew 0-0 with Uruguay and then lost 2-0 to Mexico.

Laurent Blanc is gonna have a field day fixing this fiasco of a NT once the Euros come around...

They just showed some footage of the bust up..

Anyway Italy..the fuck? Their midfield needs someone creative and Di Natalie needs to be upfront with someone who can actually score.

lol Italy. Can't create a proper chance if their life was on the line.

Not a particularly good footballing match, but def. exciting. Too bad Wood pushed it wide in the latter stage of the game.

Hope toníght's game brings more fireworks.

i suppose when Pirlo comes back they will be. All their strikers are similar in the way they play.

meh...

We fail to create good opportunities to score despite having good control of the ball. Same thing with Paraguay. Now we need NZ to lose against Paraguay (which is something quite possible if Paston doesn't play as good as today) and us to win against Slovakia (I haven't seen Slovakia play but heard awful things about them, wishful thinking that we'll win or an actual possibility?).

I'm very disappointed. A few divings that were unnecessary. I don't understand why Camoranesi isn't on the starting line. Di Natale didn't do anything good today. Criscito failed a few times to do the right pass that could lead to possible goals. Iaquinta & Gilardino play uninspired football.

I'm pissed.

^^no i can understand him being left out but i think it was unfair to leave out Cassano.

his attitude has improved a lot. he did nothing wrong at Euro 2004.

Balotelli may be a walking turd (no pun intended), but he's a great talent.

Imagine him and Cassano together in front. It would be epic, lol

The problems and friction in the French team are down to a split over one man: Yoann Gourcuff.

Gourcuff comes from a privileged family. He is smart and he is respectful - but he is also still a shy little boy. In his spare time he listens to music, watches films and plays his video game systems. He is, in his own words, a little nerdy.

In a French squad that places more value on how much money you have in your bank account, and what girl is on your arm, Gourcuff doesn't fit.

One incident occurred shortly before the World Cup. Franck Ribery and Sidney Govou had organised a night out at well known gentleman's club in Paris. Several players, including Gourcuff decided to stay home. When Ribery heard about this he immediately confronted Gourcuff and asked 'does your mother not allow you to go, you homosexual slur'

This is one of many incidents.

Ribery is the main instigator in the bullying, however he is far from alone. On the pitch, Gourcuff plays within himself. Scared because he fears the verbal retribution he will receive after the match from his tormentors.

In the squad, Gourcuff can count on only 4 real allies. His best friend Hugo Lloris, his teammate Jeremy Toulalan, elder statesmen Thierry Henry and captain and the glue that holds the team very loosely together, Patrice Evra.

When Raymond Domonech bowed to player pressure and dropped Gourcuff for France's second group match, that was the catalyst for the situation in which we now
Reports of groups hardly talking to each other soon surfaced, however, most notable were the French media suggestions that playmaker Yoann Gourcuff was isolated and suffering extreme verbal and even physical bullying at the hands of Franck Ribery.

"We're not all the best of friends, that's normal, but hopefully that does not translate on to the pitch," midfielder Jeremy Toulalan, a close friend of Gourcuff, said when asked about those reports.

"For instance, when I'm playing with Yoann, I'm not going to pass him the ball more just because we get on well,"

Just Fontaine, who scored a record 13 goals for France at the 1958 World Cup, was damning in his verdict on Ribery.

"Ribery? One day the mistake was made to say he was the team's brains and since, he has believed it. He is an arrogant man. He has a mood and an anger within him that is extremely unpleasant and disruptive"
disgraceful

Ribery is an overrated cunt anyway. dirty paedophile.
