One of the worst matches I've ever had the misfortune to watch, absolutely dreadful. Never seen Rooney play so badly and it seems the midfield all take it in turns to wear Harry Potter's invisibility cloak.

my thoughts on the other games:

Germany v Serbia- The referee cost Germany the match. he was a digrace. As it was, Germany should have at least got a draw. they were much the better team even with only 10 men. Serbia did everything to bottle it. From Vidic's inexplicable handball to making crazy decisions towards the end of the match when they should have been holding possession. This Germany team has the makings of a great side imo despite this loss. but there is pressure on now in the last game against Ghana. Ghana, Germany and Serbia could all finish on 6 points if Ghana win tomorrow, Germany beat Ghana in the last game and if Serbia beat Australia in the their last game. so there is a chance that a team will go out on 6 points which sucks imo.

Slovenia v USA. i missed parts of the game. but Slovenia played quite well in the first half. Then their coward of a goalkeeper ducked Donovan's shot and the game changed. why not take a smack of a ball in the face for your country? idiot. it has to be done. The USA have right to be pissed off that they didnt win the game because there was nothing wrong with Edu's goal at the end. If anything it was a penalty to the USA.

I'm a bit surprised Germany lost to Serbia after how Serbia played their 1st game. I didn't see this game though. I'll probably have to check the highlights.

Trying not to single out players for criticism because they were all horrible but Heskey shouldn't be in the squad. The only reason he is, is because of the deluded belief that it brings the best out in Rooney.
