Yea he was one of the best players on the pitch, when he went on that mazy run taking on three players I almost shouted "Johnson have my babies" until he hit the ball into the back of a USA defender.

I havn't seen a lot of Adam Johnson but he seems a very talented silky footballer, Shaun Wright-Philips on the other hand reminds me of a very poor mans Arjen Robben.

Especially Lampard. He gets me thinking WTF a lot of times when I watch him play for England.

Not to sound like im jumping on a bandwagon here because I do actually like and rate Lampard highly, but I can't ever remember him playing well for England.

How come no one is talking about Jozy Altidore, his run was nearly amazing lol. Great save by Green. Neither of the goals scored were good, everyone is going to talk about Green and his mishandling of the ball but England's goal was weak as fuck and if that same play happens after the 10 minute mark a shot probably doesn't even get off because our defense would have been awake by then, I hope. The USA's defense needs to step it up big. I thought the US was taking way too many deep shots as well, I'm glad Dempsey's went in but try to make a play happen or something. Decent game

^^Altidore is a limited player but he worked hard tonight to be fair to him.

I was impressed with the other guy Finlay. he is lightning quick. caused some problems.

and Bradley in midfield was immense. he had a fine game.

Altidore has so much ability apart from finishing. The guy is a bull of a striker the way he man-handled Carragher (i think it was him) was awesome. But he never scores enough, hes the American Heskey.

Anyway England are too scared to pass the ball.

Greece, what a piece of chicken scrap performance that I knew you guys had in you. Came into the game thinking they had won just by turning up. Korea played solid without being great. Deserved win with all the chances they had. Once Greece fell behind they stopped playing as a unit and relied on individual brilliance which never eventuated. Should have been 3-0 to Korea but they'll take the 2-0 win.

Argentina. Their performance has been air brushed too much. Yes they won but only 1-0 and with all the chances both teams had we all know the score shouldve resembled something like 3-2. to the Argies. Nigeria tried hard without getting the goal they so badly wanted. Argentina made some crucial misses which against a more drilled team might hurt them if they keep missing the chances on offer. Messi toiled hard all game without being magnificent. Nigeria played well when under the pump. Good entertaining game where at one stage it was going tit-4-tat... shot-4-shot. Best game of the night.

England.. well they're still fumbling their way in major campaigns. Looked flat after the 1st goal by Gerrard. USA looked compact in defence. Gave the English heavyweights little chances. Boring game IMO. Didn't like either teams playing style.

It's hard waiting for Portugal to play... the wait is killing me.

Nigeria missed a few good opportunities as well, but as you say, the Argies need to step it up.

England, couldn't agree more. The first goal was very poorly defended but after that they (USA) were quite solid. Bit of a fluke for the equaliser but that's the game for you. England was very "flat" indeed, seriously lacking on creativity.

Didn't see Lampard all game.

What did I say about Greece? Worst team of the tournament. I wouldn't be surprised if they pull another 94 and finish dead last, without a point a goal. I watched it at 7am here with my Greek friend, it was hilarious for me (not as much for him). They're utter shit, and I knew they'd be. I gave em the benefit of a doubt from my 1 - 0 prediction win for them, but I knew they'd be the worst anyways.

Also, lmao @ England. Another howler by Green, reminds me of the time he fucked up on Kranjcar's shot back in 2007.

Argentina... they could have won by much more, but that Nigerian keeper was in Epic Beard Man mode.
