Asics one looks great. ^
I thought you'd go gaga over the Sampdoria kits lol.

Hizzle's gonna love the Forest crap lol.

There are a couple of old school kits I'm looking at to add to my collection. Not sure how reliable they are, I'll ask around in other forums to see what's up.

Yeah, it was banned after a couple of qualifying matches I think. I was curious to see if they had that infamous 1 piece kit lol. :D

It's a pretty good collection of Dortmund jerseys; most of the ones from the 90s are pretty hard to find. Great selection in the Scottish league also. From the 80s to present.

Someone sticky all the good threads again. Some punk felt it was a good idea to unsticky them.....ITS WASNT!

The Dutch '88 jersey was absolutely hideous imo, lmao.

Remember when the Germans played in that horrible green kit? Total eyesore.

I really like this jersey: old Shimizu S-Pulse kits

First one is better imo

they reckon Jamie O Hara is going to declare for Ireland soon. pretty good player. would be good to have him.

The young defender Shane Duffy of Everton has also decided to switch from Northern Ireland to the Republic.

we have some good youngsters now. by all accounts this James McCarthy of Wigan is supposed to be a good prospect.

The idea is cool for that Holland jersey, but badly executed.

As for the green Germany jersey, there was a reason why it was green. If I remember correctly, Ireland were the first country from the allies to have an international friendly against Germany after WW2. The green jersey was created out of respect to Ireland for doing so. That's the apparent story to it.

Doesn't change the fact it looked like diherrea. lol

Interesting fact. Did you know this, Sebby?

I've looked more into it. The 2 stories going around are that it's because of the one I've pointed out which has some substance to it, and the other more logical one is because DFB color is green.

Also, apparently the Swiss was the first country Germany played after WW2, but then again ... wouldn't that be like germany playing Austria? It's like cousins.

Anyways ... whatever the reason is, I like the one I've overheard better :) It fits nicely with other jersey colour choice legends like Boca Juniors and others.

just googled it and got this:

Because the Republic of Ireland soccer team were the first team to play Germany after World War II when many teams refused to do so. The German football association appreciated this gesture and in honour declared they would adopt a green jersey as their away jersy as this was the colours of the Republic of Ireland.

Widely believed myth, as an irishman myself id like to think so, however, the true reason for the selection of green as the away strip colour is because of the colour of the DFB logo.
