No it's only you and how hizzle? and it's not just Italy it's Latins in generals that you hate (this is what i noticed) and i really cant understand it (latins play beautiful football). but heeeeeeeeey Germany is out (i feel much better now) they wanted to push Germany in the final but they couldnt :laugh: I dont want them to get even the 3rd place.

I don't hate Latin teams in football in general. I would hate France as a team then, which is a language based on latin. I don't hate Spain either, but sadly, they are underachievers. I hate teams for specific reasons, not because they are latin.

In the end, I just want to see good football.

oh and about C Ronaldo, yes he may be 20 and still has a lot to learn, but the man isn't a mature player at the moment.

They cheated their way through the 2nd round and the quarter finals. And I still haven't seen particularly great football from them, a bit like the Brazilians; their history makes them seem more skillful than they actually are.

Cannavaro is amazing, and so is most of the Italian defense.

All these guys are having/had a great World Cup. Hell, I'll even add Figo to the group, he's been creating alot of opportunities (even though that headbutt was a bitch move, he's still doing good.)

I don't see how people can be bashing Portugal like this.

They went through the qualifications with superb wins and were one of the early qualifirers for the cup. That, with the fact that between Euro04 to now, besides the Greek horror of 2 defeats at the hands of them. We've played solid enough and consistant enough to be here and in the final.

Where Italy and France have looked shaky for long periods in some games, when Portugal does look wobbly, they gather themselves quickly and regain momentum and hold their defence.

Whoever makes the final and wins the cup eventually is already sealed in fate. I understand that. Just don't count out Portugal or come at them with critism like some people here have. They deserve this as much as France and/or Italy.

In my opinion, it was a clear penalty as the leg of Henry was clipped but he may have made it look as worse as it did. But hey, if Henry did not fall on that foul, it wouldn't have been called a penalty.

I think here in Oz is still mad about that penalty given to Italy.

Well deserved win by France. Portugal lacked finishing, had horrid crosses. Only real chance in the 2nd half was by Figo and that was due to a goaltending mistake by Barthez.

The diving by Portugal was ridiculous in this match up.

Man of the match? Thuram. Incredible defending.

I can't wait till the finals, it's going to be a great clash of styles and a certain history between the 2... *cough euro 2000 cough*

Ever since Portugal knocked out Holland you have more or less been an ass. Why am I a Portugal freak? Hmm because I was born in Portugal? Because my roots are Portugese, whom moved to Brasil and back to Portugal to be exact?. I am all Portugese as you are Dutch. I visit regularly, my entire family minus my core (mom, dad and siblings) live there. It's my first spoken language. But enough of this. You are no concern.

Good win by France, they deserved it with that type of defence. Portugal had their chances, more so than France but they didn't take them. I can't be mad, they performed well. Over-performed even in some dillusional members minds who still can't get over their team getting knocked-out.

But thats the Worldcup.

France 2 - 1 Italy.
