Bacho I just dont understand how it goes thru their head like that. When I play ball if I get fouled theres nothin I can do about it, best thing I can do is continue on and try and score anyway. You see the Italian guy see Neill go down he moves the ball as if he's gonna go around then makes sure part of his foot touches him then calapses. What if the ref didnt call it? He would be a fool, but just coz he managed to trick the ref he's a hero? Nah dont think so.. But anywayz.... Life goes on.

Jess,He is not a hero nor he showed 'sportsmanship'.But this wasn't some street playing game with bunch of friends.This was a world cup game.This type of stuff happends a lot so why stop now on Italy and complain so much.It was what it was.Italy played like a shit honestly,they should be ashamed of themselves with this win but like i'm saying this is a world cup and you'd do anything and anyway to win game.After all,it shouldn't be this big of a deal.

Like others said its a shame that a ref has decided another teams fate in a very controversial way again...we as Aussies came into the World Cup as one of the biggest underdogs to turn up..USA's coach had the hide to say we 'were there to make up the numbers' ... we showed him

I'm extremely proud of our team, we turned up to every game to play...feared no names or teams .. Football here is really 4th in line behind the other 3 "football" codes we have but everyones gone soccer/football mad & its awesome...the most dissappointing thing for me was knowing i wont be able to get up & be as excited for another Aussie match

about the penalty, it woulda been alot better to see em got to extra time & settle it there, i woulda prefered for Italy to win 2-0 or something in normal time...then for what occured & it couldnt have happened to a more undeserving player...Neil had a blinder of a World Cup , without him we would have conceded alot more goals..he didnt deserve to have to feel so bad at the end of it all..i'm sure the other players in the team dont have nothing but appreciation for him tho

i think i will go for Ghana now, the underdogs :thumb:

For someone from Brazil your football knowledge is poor. Dive is a part of the game? Maybe, so is the ref calling it.

Materazzi's was a clear red. Two legs, stretched. Stupid challenge. Hell, he almost tackled his own team mate.

And Grosso *himself* stumbled over Neil. Neil didn't really do anything, Grosso made sure his foot caught him.

Ricardo is overrated and prone to error and Robinson is underrated cos he's hit poor form at the wrong time.
