Will fifa allow Figo to play against England?

They cant ban him now because the referees saw (more or less.lol) what he did and thought he deserved a yellow card. If they didnt see it, they could ban him now.

I dont know why so many people think England will beat Portugal,lol. Their only hope is that Deco is out (and maybe Ronaldo). But portugal is way better than England and i hope they make it to the next round. See, i can somehow deal with the possibility that we wont win the cup as long as England and Holland wont win it. The last one is already out so now i hope England will fly home pretty soon.

England were lucky to scrape through thanks to Beckham's free kick. Once again we didn't play great but we knuckled down, worked hard and got the job done. Must say i'm glad we were playing a team as poor as Ecuador, otherwise we could've been going home.

Portugal up next and i must say, despite the Ecuador game i', quietly confident. We owe Scolari one as he knocked us out in 2002 and 2004. No Deco, no Costinha is excellent news for us. The creator and the destroyer are both out and hopefully Figo will be too. Ash Cole marked Ronaldo excellently last time we met so should be able to handle him again. Win that and we're into the semis and with big team falling almost every game now if we get there then we must fancy our chances.

On another note, i don't know who i want to lose more, the Argies or the Geeeeermans!

No, i havent watched a game.

The atmosphere is amazing!! Due to public viewing there are hundred thousand of people on the streets watching each game. Not only when Germany is playing (of course then there are millions of people on the streets - 800.000 on the Berlin fan-mile alone) but also yesterday for example. Fortunately there havent been any serious problems with violence/hooligans and thing like that. There were a few minor problems but its all good. Actually everything is even better than the biggest optimists have imagined.

Anyway, I hope Portugal beats England. Why? England don't even deserve to be where they are right now and in no way they deserve to go any further for that boring&weak way they played the last games.

Last night we saw the death of fair play. I expected something like this from Portugal although I cheer for them. (Anyone remember that match from Euro 2000 against France?) Holland suprised me with the rough play. They accepted the style in which they are fresh. We saw the results. Only 25 fouls but 16 yellow cards and 4 red cards!? Referee Ivanov proved once more that he shouldn't be on this World Cup. And, I saw famous face of Mexican referee (who was the main referee on the match Ivory Coast vs. Serbia) as the 4th referee. He also didn't do anything to calm down the situation. Does FIFA rewards these horrible wannabes? This is the World Cup with the worst referees which I remember. FIFA proudly proclaimed the new attitude and new rules on this tournament. Now, we must agree that Blatter ruined everything what we already have and failed to fulfil his intensions. Pure defeat!
England was so lucky in the first half against Ecuador. Rooney was hilarious and weak. Beckam is the real leader and Gerrard and Lampard are pressing so hard but they are just solid. England needs much more if they want to reach semifinals. They'll face Portugal who has better first 11 and better substitutes.
Ecuador played very good on this World Cup. We witnessed the rising of the new South American power. They have good and disciplend team and we can expect more from them in the future.
At the end, I'm glad that I watched the best match so far last night - Portugal vs. Holland. Classic indeed.
