Good performance, glad we won. It was a very necessary victory. The Serbs didn't create much like Duke said. It is a shame van Basten seems to think Heitinga is the best rightback we got. ooijer rightback and Boulahrouz for Heitinga would be better.
We didn't play very well, but it was enough. I think the wetter was making it difficult to attack much. Same problems England had yesterday.

You will regret for not calling Makaay. Holland, is indeed great attacking team (and always was) but you must play better on the midfield.
We were lucky in the first half? How many *real* chances did Serbia have? Maybe one and a half. I also don't see where we played dirty. Sar didn't fake an injury, he had cramps. Happens.
You had plenty of moments where you could've forced something open in our (shaky) defence, but didn't.
Nistelrooy played a poor match. Conditions weren't in his favour, didn't get any balls either. Robben was a double edged sword. Makes good actions but tends to walk into clusters of defence and lose the ball. Needs to stop hogging the bal as well.
overall i'd say it was a deserved win, but theres room for plenty improvement.

Serbia-Montenegro vs Nethies
Well Serbia sucked and didnt do ANYTHING until the 39th minute when Koroman entered... That dude is energy. Too much sometimes, because he whines way too much. You maybe should play a 4 3 1 2 formation and have Dejan (10) as your CAM and playmaker if you want to have Milosevic/Ljuboja and Kezman infront....
You didn't really know how to use Zigic's size today, which sucks.
Anyways, Serbia played calmly for their level today which surprised me. I really don't know what to think about this group honestly. All depends on Argentina-Netherlands.

Too bad for Iran. If they didn't screw up on the 2nd goal, things would have maybe been better for them. They panicked and a 3rd was made.

And if he was faking, he picked a very stupid time to do so. And the ref was a bit of an antfucker. Most of the small things he stopped the game for were nothing really. An odd half hearted push or shove and a welltimed dive and he awarded a free kick. Some of the cards he gave were a bit heavy as well.
That said, it was a match played in good sportsmanship. No real nasty kicking but solid manly football

Yeah, Koroman is really a powerfull player. He's always in our first 11. The formation you proposed is the perfect for this team but with different players. Zigic and Stankovic were the two worst players on the pitch.
The only reason beacuse we played under our level today is because our coach was hesitant. You know, at the Balkans, people always build cult of character. There is no difference when it comes to the football. Maybe Stankovic is experienced and went in Italy when he was young but recently his play sucks. We have two better CAM in our team Vukic and Ilic. Both are technically far better than Stankovic and better scorers but they are physical inferior than him. Btw, Stankovic played more matches for national team and he's favourite of many people around football. Also, he wanders from position to position in first 11 but he always start. Even when he's in a bad shape. If we see him on the bench and some other player on CAM position we could achieve much more.
Next game we'll have Vidic back in our squad so our defence will be much tougher. Milosevic showed more than Zigic. Indeed, Zigic is very strong and high striker and but still unexperienced in the international matches. In his team, he's the alfa and omega and everybody are playing for him. National team is tottaly different story.
Also, Djordjevic should get back to his old position on the left wing. He was better in the first half when he was on the wing than in second when he organized our attacks.
Nothing is over yet. We are going to fight with Argetinians. Both teams must play better if they want to win that game in friday. Peace.

Beside that penalty and short added time I think that referee was great. :fury: With that Slovaqian dude he's number one judge in the Europe right now. He didn't stopped game for nothing. New FIFA rules are very strictly, as for the players and coaches so for the referees. But again, he gave too many yellow cards.
