Yeah the Croats did really well reigning Brazil in. It's Brazil's quality that they can keep up the good field play and attack despite the direct pressure. Made for an interesting game with momentum swinging to both sides. IMO, best game I've seen so far along with Argies - Ivory C.

Uhm, no. They werent playing easy on the Croats, they Croats forced them to slow down. Big difference.

I can bet that Brazil will show what they can in next matches.
In this one they played really easy on Croatians. Yes Croatians played well but Brazilians were sometimes too lazy to do anything.
They knew they'll win.

After the first brazilian attack of the match I thought that'll be the best game. Kind of magical how they played that first attack. But after that Croatia were really aggressive and forced Brazil to slow down - like someone said before.
Ronaldo didn't even sweat. It was like brazil had only 10 players on the field. Without that Robinho change, Croatia could have won.
Robinho should play from the beginning - I really like his skills.
All in all disappointing match.

Yes they were but without big results. Brazilians controlled the situation all the time. For example.. Kaka made a simple shot from more than 20m and he scored without any problems. He could score 2 more if he would try. When croatians came into brazilians 16 there were already 5 defenders to stop em.

Croatia done well, Dado was excellent

but the real stars were the Croatian fans they were amazing.

Yeah true, though the Polish fans made a lot of noice too the first half at least. Problem is the violent behaviour of a very few of them. Same problem UK fans used to have. Seems to be better now. That's something you will never get from us. The Dutch who support the national team never create trouble.

Btw the Croations played well today. They deserved a draw. Question is what would have happened when the Croations would've scored.

Kaka's goal was a rare moment of the defenders letting him go. The Croat pressure certainly had results, Brazilian field play was hampered. They only succeeded in finding the free man a couple of times.

What the Croats did wasn't pressure as in, pressure football trying to tie the opponent down on his own half. This type of pressure is just "keeping it short". Keeping the spaces small, don't allow them to play, don't give them time. And that's exactly how to deal with a team like Brazil. Strangle their offensive capabilities.

And it worked well. They made only 1 goal. Would've been a tie if the Croats were a bit sharper on the finish.

But can't agree with earlier posts that Brazil was in hard situation. They were using only 25% of they're potential. It would be at last 3-0 if Brazilians would play on 100%. The court would turn into a warzone. Croatians did well, i gotta admit. But u can't compare Croatia to Brazil. They're game is on highest level.

They are on the highest level, but far from invincible. This is football, man. Brazil isn't untouchable.

exactly, they are just players. I seriously think people loose against brazil cause they put them up high as gods or some shit. Brazil will loose its dominance sooner or later, when other teams realize that they are on the same level as them... not enough confidence I guess.

we have the greatest fans in the world. Today, the Berlin stadium was Croatian territory.

Pletikosa played great, lovely stops. Dado amazing as always, Klasnic had a great shot, Babic had a great shot with the header. Believe me, if our finishing was better today, it would have been a Croatian victory. We held Ronaldinho, had great counter and we kept pace the whole 90' . I couldn't be any prouder, our fans here we going nuts. I was only on TV here. The Brazilians watching here were great too, they said out of all the teams they're ever seen play Brazil, we had the most heart and that showed tonight.

So ffuck you if you think we can compare. This could have easily been a draw or a Croat win.
