Seriously ur basing ur view of worldclass as players who do nice skills and play football thats pleasing to the eye. U have no idea of wot a wordclass player is ur a simpleton. I agree Ronaldinho isa worldclass player, but to say players like Ferdinand, Lampards etc arent worldclass because they dont pay fancy football is rubbish. Wot about Paolo Maldini> the guy is a living legend. He has been a top defender for around 2 decades. I, and many others, would say he was wordclass at least in his prime if not still. but according to u he is not worldclass cos he duznt play fancy football and is white. maybe im being too hard on judging the world class players but i just dont see those as world class.

If u look at the record of recent international competitions England havnt done that bad. Theyve reached quarter/semi finals consistantly and have been knocked out in unlucky ways (eg penalty shoot outs or wonder goals). Everytime this has happened, pundits would never say "they should count theyre blessings because they were lucky to get this far". People always talk about the team underachieving. If they are reaching the knockout phases and underachieving then surely they are a good team with worldclass players? You cant reach the latter stages of tournaments consistantly, and be said to be underachieving, and not be a team with good or wordclass players.

And again you have a strange pre requisite for wordclass players. why can't a team player be worldclass? a player with individual flair is not the only type that is worldclass. It would be like saying, Pele was not worldclass because he did not have the individual flair of Maradona and played in a better team (in regards to their worldcup winning teams).

Pavel Nedved is not a winger. He can be used as a winger, but he is overall an offensive midfielder. He can play through the centre as an attacking midfielder & out right or left as a winger on either side. You'll notice at times he is also deployed as a central midfielder or right or left midfielder. So how can you say he's a winger? Duff, on the other hand, is almost always used as a winger. Sometimes he plays left mid. & recently he played left-back to make up for shortages in the Chelsea squad but the vast majority of times he plays as a winger.

And you asked me to name a winger that Duff is better than. Neil McCann is a left winger & Duff is eons better than him. Joe Cole - while not an out & out winger -has been playing as a winger recently & Duff is better than him.
