Now before I even get into what I wish to talk about I would first like to say, I do not mean to personally offend anyone with the comments I make in this thread, I am just simply curious and want to ask a few questions.

I have always found it extremly difficult to understand how a woman, could ever want to be a Republican, for the simple fact of women's rights. It almost seems to me as if some women joined the side that tried to not give them their rights in the first place.

This is only a starting point. I have a lot more to say, and if there any women Republicans out there feel free to express your views on this matter.

Agree or Disagree?

i would have to disagree. mainly because there are black democrats. you could say the same thing about them and ask how could a black person be a democrat when it was the majority if not all of the democrats back in the 1800s, that supported slavery . plus they didnt really fight or even vote to give blacks to have the right to vote. blacks may not have even had the right to vote if it wasnt for the republicans. slavery may not have ended when it did if it wasnt for lincoln creating the republican party.

but i see what you are saying. but at the same time can you really focus your political beliefs or ideas based on what a small select group of people believed decades ago. you really have to understand that it was a different time. and for hundreds of years woman were always looked down upon as being lower than a man. can a person still be a catholic if they think slavery is wrong or believe that women are equal to men?

The republican party of that time= The Democratic party of 2day.

I understand this is a different time and that is why i brought this up in the first place. Women of that time were all on one side, They wanted their rights. Now that they have their rights they join the party that tried to keep them down.

^Well, it's nothing to laugh over, as if it's a joke. It's commonly taught in middle schools, lol.
